That's one perfect board! Amazing job. Would love to hear the sound considering most ALPS keyboards use plastic as plate / case and not aluminum / stainless.

Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

I'm not totally sure but I think that's a combo made of the single color DSA dyesub sets that PMK sells.

Yep, that's right.

In person, the lighter blue keycaps are not nearly so pale and are much closer in color to the alphas than they appear in my photato.

DSA looks amazing but I've never been a huge fan of typing on it, if there was some place you could purchase similar sets in Cherry profile I'd be all over it.

Vortex PBT keycaps and CNC aluminum IKBC keyboard from Massdrop. Just need MX clears to really bring it all together. I might be able to find in a drop or just strip a keyboard for it in the future. Only other thing that would make it perfect would be to have macro capability, this is the dream!

That IKBC has an amazing case. I had one for a few days before I had to return it due to shorting issues with the LEDs. I really loved that beautiful, heavy aluminum case.

If only they would release one with MX silent reds, no LEDs, and a white aluminum case!

OH no! Hey, I had shorting straight out of the box, it seems to be making contact with the case and was easily fixed thanks to the comments in the discussion. I had to open mine up and adjust the board so it wasn't making any contact. So if you get it back in and it is still a problem, don't hesitate to open it up, just keep in mind the board is attacked to the micro USB port so be gentle. I really love the simplicity in the case design, I was originally going to go for a Shine 6 but only the special editions are available and I care for the floating caps so much.

Yes, Joey Quinn had it right, the loose caps are from PimpMyKeyboard. In the background is the Vortex Core and a Pok3r with a mix of original Vortex PBT and my Sinclair inspired stripes (from WASD).

I would say that Half-shell makes the keyset looks so much better, but that keyset is already perfect as is (well, almost).

How is the height of half shell v2s compared to cherry profile? It looks a bit low but it's always hard to tell in pictures.

It's definitely is tough to tell though since the shell isn't uniform height (due to the dome shape) so it's peak is a bit higher than cherry r1 and it's lower points are just below. But overall it seems like the height is made for cherry profile.

Damn, that sounds pretty perfect. Guess I need to start looking for a meteor v2  :)

Try less direct light.  Something like just your monitor screen (with whatever color(s) you want to display on it) + a tripod for longer exposure time.
