Yes they are pretty close to the dark vortex Cherry profile too, maybe a shade or two off, nothing dramatic.

Hey, Ivan, are these darker than the dark grey set of PBT blanks that recently sold on Massdrop, or is it the same shade? Comments on MD said they were not the same, but just to be sure, I'm asking here directly.

These are a little darker than the Vortex sets.

After they're manufactured. In addition, it will be after Ivan receives the then-manufactured sets.

He's a well experienced GB organizer, and is good at communicating the current state of things.

Although I just checked the OP for a vague timeline, and didn't see one. I know the order has been submitted but don't have any personal experience for how long this takes. But the dye-subbing is being done by a different company again? Or was that the problem with round 4 before this? I recall reading that ... that the dye-sub company kept dropping the ball especially with communication.

By Halloween, Ivan? Now that I've scrolled up and edited my reply a few times...

Yeah, I realize they're a custom job. I just wasn't sure what to expect. Ivan had mentioned August in relation to another post, but I wasn't sure if he was referring to that GB or this one.

I was reading on another GB thread and it seemed like people were just getting their caps now, almost a year and a half later. Just trying to manage my own expectations.

I think it just closed last week or so, because he took new orders after the outage (including my own). Fingers crossed for October.

When I first got into keyboards in a serious way, the very first thing I wanted to get was a set of caps like this. I couldn't find them for sale anywhere, maybe because they weren't for sale, or maybe because I didn't know where to look. A lot has changed about my tastes since then but my desire for the sweet black on black has not. I am so very excited to get these. My only regret is that I could only afford one set.

Yeah I'm planning on doing the same. Thinking of mixing the black alphas with beige or "milk" white.
