What is the cheapest way to get a black on black set of modifiers? Would I have to buy a 87-set? Also, is there any way to have a generic key for the Windows key? Like a meta diamond, or blank, or anything like that?

it's ABS Ducky 104 white on white, it's not engraved.

It's ABS Ducky white on white, not engraved.

Yep, these keys have the same profile as Filco/Ducky and I believe a few others like Das/Rosewill. It's NOT the same profile as my PLU, sadly, the Z row is different.

If they ever make a 104 key blank white set, I'm in... I know they don't, so I'll just be waiting for now. It'd be the perfect set for a dye job.

which keys are you talking about? the KBC or the ABS ones or both? (from this MO)

how bad is the difference? are the keys taller? i'm about to cancel my order because i was planning to use em for my PLU

makes me sad.. those white engraved keys look real nice. i was planning to put the otaku ABS and the KBC white on white

Both the ABS and PBT keys here are a different profile than the keys on the PLU. The Q and A rows are both basically identical, I can't see any difference, but the Z row has a slightly different angle. The key is slightly taller closer to you, and slightly lower away from you, so the entire thing has more of a slant away. If you're going to use a full set of these, either just letters or the full 104, you'll probably be fine, it's a VERY small difference. My problem is I'm mixing the PLU keys with the KBC keys, like you can see here. With the entire row as KBC keys, I didn't notice the difference in profile on the shift keys while typing, but with a mix, it's very slightly noticeable.

ah thanks for the reply! can i just verify with you.. if i understand correctly, if i were to put the KBC just for the letters, and then put the rest of the ABS keys (from another set from this MO) will I still have this problem? if i understand, i'll only have the slightly different angle from the PLU keys.. but i shouldn't if i mixx the ABS/KBC

Yep, the ABS set is the same profile as the PBT keys from KBC, if you're mixing the two you'll have no issues at all.
