All Starcraft keys are sold out! Interested parties should look to round 4 or beg somebody to buy their extras.

Round 3 is shipping. Several people have their keys, I'm still waiting on mine and will post a picture of all the different keys when I get mine. Everybody who has them says they are awesome, so bummer for you if you missed out.

These keys can be purchased with the 7bit voting system. Follow the directions in the Round 3 thread on how to vote/order (send votes as private messages to 7bit_vote.) I'm setting up order IDs for both Windows keys and Esc keys, and it seems that both sizes will be produced. Be aware that less popular size/race combinations will be more expensive.

The order IDs are as follows:

SCESCRANDOM

NOTE: These have changed because I was stupid and put a "2" in the IDs originally. Please re-submit your orders with the new IDs. You'll want to zero out your orders for the "2" versions too.

For example, if you just want one Zerg Esc key:

It is possible prices may drop a little when 7bit gets the final invoice from Signature.

This should be the final version of the art unless I find out any of them are not good enough.

The logos are somewhat simplified and adjusted in proportion from the originals because of the constraints on the process, which basically dosen't allow features smaller than 0.5mm.They may have to be adjusted further. At the final size of 9.04x10.84mm, I think they will look fine.

Sorry about the lavender Zerg, they don't have purple. There are lots of shades of yellow, blue and red, so the other colors are flexible. Here are the colors we have to choose from:

The colors will be RA for Terran, YK for Protoss, RCJ for Zerg and BFP for Random.

Here's a picture somebody posted. I will post a picture of ALL the keys when I get mine.

I was going to go with the decals instead of the regular logos for all three for consistency, but the Terran shield logo actually works with some minor modifications I think.

If that meets the double shot requirements it'll look absolutely stunning with a red on black color scheme.

If I could get them on Windows key sized keycaps I would replace both my Windows keys with them.

If not then I'll just go with it on Esc.

I believe the shield version of the Terran logo has the necessary clearances everywhere. I don't know how well the sharp corners will end up working, but that's an issue with pretty much all the art on all the group buy keys ever. The regular Protoss and definitely the regular Zerg logos are trickier, and I don't think I can make them work, but the "Akilae Tribe" decal for Protoss (shown in the OP) and "The Brood" decals for Zerg (the claw-mark one) will work fine.

Do people prefer Esc keys or Windows key replacements? Either would work.

I would be in for 3 of each if they are the right size for the function row. If they are for a different row, hmm I don't know how many but I would still buy some.

I would prefer they be all the same base color.

I REALLY like the idea of Windows keys replacements actually. Escape could be something like an SC or just he II from the SC logo. I like like like.

Just an idea...how about the wireframe thumbnail for each race's worker, instead? I identify with those more than the race icons. The SC1 versions might be better suited for this, as they are simpler.

I did convert that icon to SVG, but the spines are too close together. They need to be 0.5mm spaces between them when shrunk down to the final size (9.04mm x 10.84 mm) It would probably work if I deleted about a third of them and spaced the remainder out, but that will take some time to make look good.

Also, the only purple Signature has is lavender. We'll have to decide if that's good enough, or we should go with red or something.

I quite like the Windows key replacement, provided these are the standard Filco profile, as I have more than enough ESC key replacements

And I'd probably be down for a full set, provided the pricing is in the sane land - $4 or so per keycap I think, though I've no clue what to expect at the moment. What I do know is I've spent a decent sum key caps lately.

The price per key on Windows keys is probably in the neighborhood of $5 per key, assuming we make at least 25 of each design. That's what my invoice says for the PIRATEFLAG key says anyhow. I guess Esc keys would be slightly cheaper. The more that get made, the cheaper it is per key.

I'm leaning strongly toward Windows keys at this point, so that everybody will want two. :-)

$5 is sane. I keep spacing out that it is a larger key etc etc.

Random players that understand more than cheese often have a very unique and insightful of the game. I see far too many players well into Diamond that have no clue how the other races play.

Would love either of these color schemes for the Toss key as well.

Window-sized (1.25) replacement keys pref, but more escape keys never hurt:D Totally in for 2x of each race

Most people have black keyboards, so the background color will be black. Windows key seems to be the most popular, so we'll go with that. That will also encourage everybody to get two of each. :-)
