Is it still available to order just a few (like 1-3x) of the switches? I wanted to add some for a full cherry keychain set I have planned.

The only PCB mount switch you're selling are the locking ones... 1/10 isn't lying, but still misleading.

im just curious. i have a KBT RACE keyboard which has LED attached to each switch. can i desolder that switch and change it to the MXLOCK switch and still retain the LED for the caps lock?

You will have to change the firmware. The lock switch is ON-OFF instead of momentary ON.

The LED is not in the exact same location on the lock switches as on the regular ones (I'm quite sure at least). You might be able to trick it into working by bending the LED leads. I don't think you would want to make the caps lock into a locking switch though, without remapping it to something else. I'm not sure it would behave any well. And besides that the caps lock led lights up from the caps lock "state" being on, not holding shift (which would be the roughly similar thing). It is controlled through the keyboard controller, which will know nothing of your changing of switches...

oh no i'm lost already.

i thought if you press the MXLOCK switch, the switch will lock into a pressed position (thus sending one keystroke to the computer) and returns to the default position if pressed again (thus sending another keystroke to the computer).

from my point of logic, what is different from the actual usage?

Hi I've tried to edit my order like 3 times now but the bot keeps sending my old order to my email. Anyway reset everything and make my order again? I don't think I'm doing anything wrong cos I managed to edit my order before now.

The lock switch is ON-OFF, a regular mx switch is momentary ON.

When you press the lock switch it stays down and continually sends signal. When you press it again it comes back up.

When you press a regular mx switch it sends the signal once and comes back up.

The keyboard controllers firmware would have to be changed to go into capslock state when there is continuous signal. Because normally a single signal toggles the capslock state.

The LED would already have to be desoldered to install the lock switch. The holes look to be in the same place as a regular mx switch so you shouldn't have a problem resoldering it.

Just pressed my Caps lock key down for a while. It stays on. To switch it off with the lock switch, you have to press it once more to release and then once again to set the Caps Lock state to off. Not exactly the effect it should have. It would be better to map it to a modifier key (like Shift) or really change the firmware.

You can only add stuff, not remove it amore. Not that we ordered everything and pople jump off!

I don't know what pictures you are looking at. I am looking at these, and that LED hole is not in the same location as usual. I would say it looks like they might be using both of the rightmost LED and diode holes.

Looks the same to me. You just bend the pins through the middle 2 holes like normal.

OK, then I read it wrong. But my prices are still cheaper!

Looky, looky at that... I was under the impression that the switch housing was going to be quite different, but the bottom at least looks just the same, except it actually looks like the leftmost holes are not holes. So I guess that might work if the leads don't get in the way of something else in there.

Even the right 2 holes aren't fully cleared... Quality control was on break. Lets hope the phantom latching switches have their holes cleared. Otherwise we'll have to perform an enema.

Is there a paypal option for Europeans? I've just spoken to my bank about transfer and they're gonna charge me ~£15 or £9 plus the costs at the other end. For £35 switches, I can't afford that!

I think that was me, but I did not want to add them because I did not want to wait any longer with the order. There should be another switch group buy along with the next keyboard project.

I'm thinking about making a full keyboard of MXSUPERGREY. That would be cool, but I'm guessing they would be considerably louder than blues. But I can always crank my klipsch speakers or HD650 to drown that out. Reds are king for videogames, but typing is still up for grabs with me. I will be filling 10 of the 15 spots on my STB (Switch Try Board) with switches from this GB. MXSUPERGREY and ML (with an ML keycap) would make that 12. What should the final 3 be?
