I had finished colorising my work Filco with about 52 Qtan keys and was wondering when the GB keys would show up and, sure enough, there was a small brown box in the mailroom.

Do have one question though.

Is it normal for the Filco plastic stabiliser inserts to not fit securely into the corresponding stems on SP keys ?

I am talking of the stems on the two Shift keys in this GB.

The Shift keys ARE installed on the keyboard but only using the switch and not using the stabiliser bars which are lying flat right now.

It's kinda "normal." SP just has **** QC so... yeah. Easy fix though, cut a small (3mm) square of plastic/tape and put it on top of the switch stem and then put the cap on so that it is jammed between.

It's just the way SP's molds are, not their quality control per se.

There has been a language filter on for months.  Has nothing to do with the mods.

So their molds are low quality IMO. I don't really care as it's such a simple fix, but it still is pretty janky.


I don't think that word has been in the language filter, could be wrong though.
