Sorry to all that were looking forward to these, but the VIM keys are still up ^_^

I am interested! Can I use bubble mailer option for multiple sets? Two sets maybe?

When do you think this GB will end? I am fairly new to GH GB, so if someone could help me out that would be great.

@limmy, it depends on how much interest the gb gets

in this case, i strongly think this gb will be a success in terms of interest so it should end in about a month and then the 3 month processing time so you should get these keys in october-november

Any idea how long you will be running this, so I know where to have the keys sent.

I will assume the Vim Key is double shot. How about the RGB set? Are they thick pbt (like imsto ones). or just normal ones? And are they of cherry profile, I mean the cherry height and cherry style sharp edges (comparing with OEM's round edges)?

The vim key is 2-shot and the RGBs are dyesub.  Both can only be SP's standard profile which doesn't quite match Cherry profile.

Acoustics. Thick keys have a much different sound, more of a 'thock', I guess.

I dunno. I can definitely hear a difference between standard SP keycaps and imsto thick caps.

I just did an anecdotal test.
Thick caps may sound 'lower' because they don't vibrate as much as thinner caps, but to my ears it just sounds like fewer frequencies, not just lower frequencies. In fact, removing some of the noise makes the sound HIGHER to me. Cherry DS > SP DS > Cherry lasered PBT in order from 'highest' to 'lowest'.

Of course this also changes when you change keyboards.

Your are right, MagicMeatball.  And also it's partly because the cherry double shot caps are thick ones. I am really addict to cherry original key caps and can't stop loving the cherry style :-D

That's great, boost!

One question, will the blue be the same as the blue in original RGB set, or like in mbc's set (a bit darker than cherry RGB)?

^ I'm mentioning the blue color in the cherry PBT dye sub. I'm okay with darker blue but I also want something that is close to the original set. Lol.

btw, thanks for the pics, MMB, I forgot that there is two cherry RGB set :D.

Thanks boost for running this. I have been waiting so long  ;D

A normal vim key, yay. :3

I dunno. I can definitely hear a difference between standard SP keycaps and imsto thick caps.

Different materials, completely different molds. The difference between KBC and SP PBT is similarly “huge”, by the way, without any real differences in thickness.

I don’t give a damn about key thickness, and I’ve got original Cherry dye subs.

the left alt is slightly shorter than ctrl. oh well. at least i'll get a set for some other boards and a VIM key!! thanks for the group buy.

You need to get a winkey and a winkeyless set to mix and match both of those sets, the Corsair K60 or K90 has a 1.25x alt but a 1.5x ctrl along with a 1x win

Hey~ stop copying my idea lol
hashbaz, boost, u guys really had to do this, huh? With the same exact fonts?
I already told you guys that I would distribute some in GH.
I put in 3 months of planning and pondering time, and this is just a simple do-it-over group buy (with the exception of an ESC key and an ISO left shift)?

Never mind, GLWGB.

Is there not one person in the entire membership of this forum who can coordinate us getting in on group buys from KBDMania/OTD? Taeyoung usually places a large order in the group buys here, so that the Koreans can get in on our group buys. Can that not work both ways? I'm sick of getting the leftovers.

Sorry, boost, it's your GB to run as you see fit. It just p1sses me the fsck off when we can't get the cool shiz they are offering on those forums.

I just wonder if the leftover from GB in KBTmania/OTD would be enough for GH/DT's demand (about 150-200 sets of each type), I worry that just some of us have chance to grab them and then re-sell them at a much much higher cost.

Yep. There's no way the leftovers will be even close to the prices we would have got from our own GB.

I thought maybe a merge was possible.  Is that not feasible?

This GB had 2 extra keys compared to his. We had the 1800 shift and ESC

Why apologize? This was a different GB on a different forum with different members. Yes, the idea behind it was the same, but boost was making something available to us that wasn't available before. Why settle for limited amounts of a set with fewer keys, when we could easily do our own?

Could you explain how it is stepping on soulfree's toes? The orders in his GB are closed and he is no longer taking any orders.

My common sense tells me it is okay to do another GB. I believe many are confused as well.

Because a group buy is happening in Korea, you cancel this? It's not like anyone here can easily go and place an order there. It's pretty ridiculous that you can't run both. Did KBD come to GH and invite us to the buy? No. So why not run out own? Makes zero sense.

I don't know tbh.  My common sense says it's okay too.  But clearly there was a miscommunication somewhere.

I understand this perspective, but I think boost did the prudent thing in suspending the buy.  Let's wait for soulfree to explain himself a little more before passing judgment.

It's not just the language barrier. I don't think they typically use Paypal.

Add to that: to even get the keys here is much more expensive, and our standard keyboard layout doesn't match theirs?

I apologize to both the Members of this groupbuy and Soulfree.
