She's actually modeled after a real Blizzard employee which is neat.  She also says "I must break you" if you get a melee kill with her.  :))

3. If you want to win, play with friends on a consistent basis. I can't really do this right now as all my old gaming friends are scattered, and I can't find most of them after this many years of not gaming.

Yup. Funny you should mention your gaming friends are scattered: I haven't played with the various people I've met over the years in forever, but for some reason literally everyone I used to play CS, WoW, DotA, anything, all play Overwatch now. Been fun getting on VOIP with them again and ****ing around.

Also, Bastion is OP as anything. I don't understand how anyone's ever lost a defense-side map with him in the game.

HERO BALANCE CHANGES

McCree
  Peacekeeper
   Alternate Fire
Recovery time (i.e. the amount of time before McCree starts reloading) decreased from 0.75 seconds to 0.3 seconds
Bullet damage decreased from 70 to 45

Developer Comments: McCree was performing too well against all targets, making him feel like a must-pick in many situations. By reducing the damage of his alternate fire, McCree is now significantly weaker against tanks like Roadhog and Reinhardt, but still maintains his lethality against smaller targets like Tracer and Genji.

Widowmaker
  Widow’s Kiss
   Alternate Fire (Scoped Shot)
Base damage decreased from 15 to 12
Note: Scoped shot damage multiplier remains unchanged
Headshot damage multiplier increased from 2x to 2.5x
Players must now wait for the unscoping animation to completely finish before scoping

  Infra-Sight
    Ultimate cost increased by 10%

Developer Comments: In the right hands, Widowmaker can often feel unstoppable—even when just landing body shots instead of critical heads shots. The changes to her alternate fire weaken body shot damage while leaving her headshot damage unchanged. Additionally, we felt her Ultimate ability, Infra-Sight, was coming up a little too frequently, especially considering its impact on the game.

BUG FIXES

General
Improved stability of the High Bandwidth option in Custom Games

Heroes
Fixed a bug that allowed Mercy to gain Ultimate charge whenever damage boosting an ally who was attacking a barrier or Ice Wall
Fixed a bug that allowed Reaper to Shadow Step to unintended locations on certain maps

Maps
Fixed an issue with collision on certain areas of Dorado not blocking line of sight

While Bastion is really strong defending, I have found that Roadhog, Reinhardt, Widowmaker, and McCree can all counter him with their skillsets.

has anyone played much of the new patch? how does it feel?

do you still instinctively alt-tab and wait for a respawn when you see a mcree as you turn the corner?

also does mercy's ult feel less frequent now?

your MMR probably just flew up so now you're playing against people that are actually not braindead

unless you're talking about retarded teammates in solo queue or something, then i completely understand

chin up m8

looking at your master overwatch, you're kinda correct

however your kdr + accuracy has been pretty consistent even while vsing increasingly higher skilled players, so you're fine

but yeah play in a group whenever possible

I'm just frustrated when I feel like I'm doing so much against the enemy team but no one on my team can capitalize on it. sometimes I don't know how much more impactful I can be... if I could complete all the map objectives myself while keeping the enemy widowmaker/hanzo and back line in check, well... that character would be OP :P

And also a little too OP. haha.

I've started solo queue'ing but I'm gettin' my ass handed to me. Mercy helps though that way I can tell myself "you tried m8, you did your best..." :D

I just tested widow. The damage doesn't feel like a big deal to me... I mean some headshots that shoulda been kills aren't because I hit before fully charging but whatever. Sucks that I can't 1 shot a tracer anymore, I feel like she'll become a big problem in the future.

I tested the animation times as well

QQ method with toggle aiming like csgo and the default hold RMB = 1.25 seconds from the time bullet leaves barrel to the next 100% charge

melee animation cancel is 1.29 seconds til the next 100% charge

So basically I see no reason to not toggle anymore. If you can spare the extra apm to scope and unscope manually, it puts less strain on your hand having to hold down the RMB and lets you aim better I think. I'm sure it's personal preference in the end but I could see it being a slight advantage.

Personally I hate how sluggish she feels now :\

They should remove her full auto mode, give her a pistol, and let us QQ animation cancel properly. :)

These two different groups were the ones that got hammered with all hanzos. It was funny seeing the full screen of dragons sweeping when they timed their specials, though.

Me too man. Been playing with friends, and just due to the heroes we started out on, I'm always playing a tank. Now I don't feel impactful on anything but Road Hog or Reinhardt, and I don't particularly enjoy playing Reinhardt.

Should put in some hours by myself and learn how to be effective on at least one hero in each role...

Tracer is the character that you either do really ****ing well with or you're **** at.
Some games I die all the time and I can't aim for ****.
One game I managed 0 deaths 21 eliminations.

Her DPS is actually incredible if you can aim which is the breaking point of what makes her good. You also have to learn how to teleport properly.
