I got PIF'd at McDonald's once. A lady accidentally cut me off while pulling in. I restrained myself from getting angry and just got in the drive-thru line behind her. When I pulled up to pay for my breakfast, the cashier told me, "the woman in front of you paid for your order and asked me to tell you she was sorry for cutting you off." It was a pretty cool feeling.

So, just putting it out there that I like sausage McGriddles.

This is seriously awesome, when my keyboard addiction is over, that's how I want to let my collection go :)

Such optimism!

Bwahahahaha :))
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Seriously. For me, if my keyboard addiction is over that means I'm dead, and at that point my children, as executors of my estate, will discover the immense value of my collection and I imagine at least one of them will take up my mantle and begin down the path of the wallet hack.

Forget who mentioned it but I'm pretty sure someone already took Hipster's art and had it inked. Also who can forget imersa. And somewhat relevant to this topic, I thought Bunny had something GH related inked as well.

hey guys

tomorrow i am sending 10 packages out to 10 random users (well kinda random, people i have addresses for, which is a pretty huge amount with ctrl alt)

Show Image

each package contains a little something, ranging from a bro cap to a keyboard to keychains, all kindsa bits really

inside each package will be a little note from me, saying pay it forward

these packages are totally unsolicited, so nobody is under any obligation to play along, so if you choose not to continue the chain, please enjoy your gift

if however you would like to play along, please send a little something to one to three more users, with a little note saying pay it forward within the package

i am starting by sending 10 out in the hopes its enough to get this going

please feel free to use this thread as a hub, to post pics etc, and if anyone would like to send packages anonymously, and dont have addresses for certain users, please contact me and ill see what i can do

thanks

Cant wait to see what everyone gets!

Bunny I am going to PM you.

Awesome idea. Posting so I can follow this.
Should we create a url shorterner like bit.ly to this thread so everyone can write this link to that "Pay It Forward" paper for the receiver to get a background of this project?

I tried to shorten it and came up with this:
http://bit.ly/1M4Vfg3
The link will bring you back to this thread.

Not exactly very friendly to write down.

I’m thinking it should just be ctrlalt.io instead.

we could make a ctrlalt.io/pif link or something

thats a good idea ill get it sorted shortly

for the people who messaged me about addresses, i got really busy yesterday, ill be sorting those out this evening

thanks

Proposed ctrlalt.io shortcut hasn't been made, yet.

Cool! Thanks for taking up the suggestion. Each package should have this url written so the surprised receiver will come to this thread to post photos. And to continue the Paying It Forward.

I was having a bad day because of my recent car troubles, but i received a package yesterday with a familiar sticker.

I was in a rush to school so, and felt like it would cheer me up to open it when i got home. And so the wait began.

Opened it up and it was an awesome shirt!

I thought to myself, "Well I do love California." and then it hit me, it's for [CTRL]Alt  :p

Also came with a cool little card with the art previously posted (http://i.imgur.com/3CZIv0r.jpg)

This is the back of the shirt and the back of the card

Thought i'd post a photo of me actually wearing the shirt since i never post any pictures.

And then my girlfriend Sarah though I should take "better" photos and made me "model".
I now can see that I really need a hair cut  :-X
More

I have no idea what i've been doing, but I'll just keep doing what i'm doing  :thumb:

Anyway. I really appreciate it Bunny, but I think you may have given me a death sentence because Sarah is going to kill me for this shirt.

I've been having plans on sending some stuff out to people, but school and all. So hopefully I can get some stuff out to people  :D

I have no idea what i've been doing, but I'll just keep doing what i'm doing  :thumb:

Anyway. I really appreciate it Bunny, but I think you may have given me a death sentence because Sarah is going to kill me for this shirt.

I've been having plans on sending some stuff out to people, but school and all. So hopefully I can get some stuff out to people  :D

Nice. I am glad we share the love for Canada and California :)

I came home today to find the most beautiful of surprises waiting for me.

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

I will admit, I don't really know how this ticket works, but I am pretty sure I get first crack at buying the Bros I want in the next sale.  :)  With all the cool new stuff Bro has been working on, that is pretty exciting.

I have ideas for a couple packages to send on to others.  I need to do a bit of research to see who exactly I am going to send them to.  Bunny, I will probably bug you to see if you have addresses for them once I figure it out because the surprise aspect of this is awesome.  :P

I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but I am blown away by your generosity Bunny.  Pretty soon we are going to have to petition Webster's to have BunnyLake added as a footnote to the definition of philanthropists.  :)

Edit: BTW, the artwork on that card looks so cool in person.  There is something about that candle that is so bloody cool.  I can't even put my finger on it, but damn...

Those purple packages are so cool looking. It is pretty cool that everyone has been getting different stuff, I can not wait to see what other cool stuff people got.

Wow! So cool!

I'm wanting a dibs ticket just for the ticket and not the dibs. Those these are sweet :D

But those packages are sweet as well. I still have my silver one from a while back.

Awesome to see people getting their packages in the mail.  We got some modeling potential up in here.  I'm disappointed, though.  I didn't see Blue Steel from either of you.  Much disappoint. :(
