This might have already been said but... If it's a fixed layout non-cheese pcb anyway, will there be hotswap support?

no

You are wrong.

Looking forward to this one! I always loved the curves and design on the Verne so it is nice that Jules will be an open group buy. Any chances of plate choices besides brass?

Man this a beautiful board for sure, which to me makes the fixed layout design even more of a shame IMO. I mean I get it, having a fixed layout on a board makes for a much better building experience & tighter end product, but having just one fixed layout really kills it for me & I'm sure some others. Has any thought been put into making alternate layout options available or is that completely off the table for this kit? I see that you are using a seperate plate with this kit. If there was the option to just buy a plate that did not have a fixed layout for this, even if I had to hunt down a compatible PCB, I'd be a lot more likely to consider jumping on one of these.

I like fixed plates, and we are offering a hotswap PCB and that will be the default configuration. For me, the deal breaker would be not having a fixed plate.

Honestly I do get it, I would go fixed plate over universal anyday if the fixed plate fit my layout preferences. I was just curious if there was any possibility of a fixed plate with a non standard layout or universal plate being offered as an add on, but you pretty much answered my question indirectly with your last line. Anyways the board is definitely beautifully designed (seriously I love the shape of this case!), but just not for me with the fixed layout. GL with the project moving forward man!

Cool - even just aluminum as another option would be great as it's a bit softer than brass. I like brass, but it is a bit too firm and loud for a board I'd use all day at work. POM is a great (and durable) option as well that has a great sound and soft bottom out.

I agree, I'd honestly be all over this if it just had split bs.

Zambumon is being unintentionally vague.

Fixed layout plate is definitely happening. Offering a plate that supports split backspace and stepped caps lock is under consideration.

This is great to hear, thanks for the heads up Wilba! I can live without a tsangan bottom row in all honesty, but split backspace is pretty much a necessity for me. It's so ingrained in my typing style at this point I have actually programed any board I got with a full backspace to use that as the pipe key & the pipe key as backspace LOL.

For a Rama Works 65%? The Thermal is a 60% for $360, the Koyu sold at what, $400?

IMO it's likely this will be 4 bills, and it'll sell regardless.

Major case redesign with:
- Seamless profile
- Centered USB-C daughterboard
- Rama Works rubber feet
- Rama Works torx screws
- Hotswappable PCB
- Back now has my glyph
- Mounting points tweaked

Available case finishes should be:
- Kuro (black): works with almost any set, elegant and simple.
- Navy (dark blue used for the RAMA × Striker Fuji-san keycaps): should look great with Nautilus, or Striker
- Halt (Wilba's red): should look great with Jamón, Burgundy, WoB
- Bronze: should look great with Sandstorm, WoB

- Plates will be PVD coated

Bronze could be renamed SAND to keep the 4 letter word for colours. Just my 2 cents.

I like everything except for having no more rose colour, however Bronze might look interesting. Also I am not seeing a split BS support but considering M65-B is supporting somewhat of a full or split BS layout I am hoping this would be the case as well.

Wish you could've kept the more vibrant blue of Lake over Navy, but I guess this is fine too.
