Hello from Ohio USA
« on: Sun, 26 January 2020, 10:49:16 »
I have been getting into the mechanical keyboard world a lot lately as I now type for around 8 hours a day at my job (not constant of course).

Previously I was very into comp gaming and PC builds, so I am using a Logitech G19 keyboard right now and it is not best suited for its current task.

Really look forward to getting into this hobby and exploring what all is out there - I currently seem to have my sights set on finding something along the lines of a CM QFR XT Stealth with MX Blues or MX Greens.

Suggestions or help always appreciated  :thumb:

Happy clicking - cheers!

Welcome, I suggest box jades or navies, respectively, in place of Cherry MX clickies. I think most would agree that Cherry, while an economical workhorse, does not provide a particularly satisfying typing experience compared to newer (or even dead 80s contemporary) switches.

Just upgraded to my first mech!

Cooler Master QuickFire XT with Cherry MX Blue switches  ;D

Let's see how the coworkers respond to the upgrade.

Nice one. I love my Quickfire Rapid. Nobody seems to mind my use of capacitive buckling springs at work, but then there seem to be some people who feel they need to use dampened switches because of the ire of their coworkers. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
