I'm fairly certain it can. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow morning though.

And so are we...
Regarding restock, we hope to have them in the coming month or two. We have an active order in for them, so just as soon as they are produced, they will be on their way to us. :thumb:
Are these coming back in stock anytime soon? Thanks!
The lack of interest on this makes me wonder if these have been restocked and sold out already, or if they have yet to be stocked.
Are these coming back in stock anytime soon? Thanks!
The question has been asked a few times recently (including on a reddit AMA) and the answer has been that new stock is being manufactured, but the manufacturers have not provided an ETA. Probably within a couple months.
Good and bad news.
Bad news : The factory didn't even start production. Some issue came up and they didn't let us know until WE asked where the heck our plates were.
Good news : We've moved to the front of the line. We were quoted at "some weeks", which typically mean ~4 weeks. We were also able to add colors: black, gray, silver, blue, red, green, purple, and orange.

Awesome! I'll have to put some money aside for a grey one :)
Could this case be used with a Novatouch TKL?Unfortunately not.
It would be awesome to put this into my silenced Novatouch.
Someone on reddit was able to do it, Here's the link (http://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/33hq1i/modification_novatouch_aluminum_case_mod/)Could this case be used with a Novatouch TKL?Unfortunately not.

Interested in the silver and orange.Anyone?
Is there a particular Filco or Vortex TKL that works best with these? I assume Vortex is the "ONI" in this case. :P
Yeah, I'm fairly certain it was made to fit Filco/QFR/Ducky, etc.. I've had a vey hard time finding any other information on them in general though, with the exception of this (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=60549.0) thread. I'm very much looking forward to getting one, I just have to decide on which color I want!Interested in the silver and orange.Anyone?

Safe to say that any Filco TKL will fit?
At this point, I kind of doubt that it will ever be back in stock
I believe you. Well, I believe you are sincere. However, I heard the same thing a few months ago.At this point, I kind of doubt that it will ever be back in stock

Does anyone know if a WASD v2 will fit this case? (It has 6 DIP switches.) Thanks!
Status on stock? Seems like it's been awhile since an update.
will this fit with a kbparadise v80?

i looked around and i read on massdrop from a comment that a tex representative said the v80 will fit with out any issues. take it as a grain of salt though.
Any update on getting in these new TKL cases? :-*
I'm very interested in a TKL case, in case you have some kind of waiting list. :)
It does fit a Pegasus Hoof controller board, though?
woah woah slow down these fit QFR's? I so put me on the listI'm very interested in a TKL case, in case you have some kind of waiting list. :)

It should since it fits a cooler mast QFR.
I got one for sale, case is completely undamaged. Colour is grey.
PM if anyone is interested.
I emailed with Justin at Tex yesterday and was told that they are redesigning the TKL case this year.

Hopefully they are making the tolerance of the gap (where the two halves of the case meet) tighter :)
This just popped up on their incoming stock page.
The phantom pcb/plate works with it, no?
Will these fit a Leopold 750R? Doubt it though.
so let me get this straight, if I want a phantom filco tex case I have to buy the filco to get the plate?
so let me get this straight, if I want a phantom filco tex case I have to buy the filco to get the plate?
Highly doubtful...there is no indication that our plates will not fit the new cases. In fact they should. As for Leopolds, or some other brands outside of Filco, we can't definitively say what will fit until we have at least a sample in hand to try. Chances are good that the new batch will fit most TKL's. We will have to see.
What I can say is that the phantom will fit the previous case but the teensy is a little tight.

That doesn't appear to be made by Tex though? Maybe my page didn't translate correctly.

I managed to get my hands on a new Tex case the other day. I would imagine it's the same ones that MK will be selling soon.
The plates sold by MK do fit inside the case, however, I feel like the case was designed for the Filco plate... possibly the majestouch 2 only. as the case has slots on the top and bottom for the metal tabs to go into to prevent the plate from moving around.
There are no screws to fasten the keyboard's switch plate to the case. The plate sits on a ledge inside the bottom portion of the case. If its flush enough, or has the aforementioned tabs, it won't move. Because the MK plate doesn't have those tabs and is too small... the plate does move around in the case. It may not be a huge problem.. but it is something to keep in mind.
I haven't received all the parts to finish my board yet... but when I do I'll be sure to update everyone on if it was a problem.

Nice. Can you take a picture of the case bolted closed? I'd like to see if they made the tolerances tighter where the two halves of the case meet together.
Also, for people using these for Phantoms. You could try contacting Leslieann about these https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=45739.15 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=45739.15)
Yes, please post pics when you take some of the front/sides/back of the case :) Is there some kind of stress relief plug, or grommet to make that hole for the cable look clean?
As for the Phantom adapters. She made them so Phantom plates would fit the older Vortex cases, so they should work the exact same for these.
Yep, the Vortex case was made for the Filco style plate just like the Tex cases.Yes, please post pics when you take some of the front/sides/back of the case :) Is there some kind of stress relief plug, or grommet to make that hole for the cable look clean?

The area where the cable comes out is basically just a hole. There's a small indentation near the hole where I think they intended it to be a stress relief but I can't see it really working that way. You can kinda see what I'm talking about from my first pic above. Personally I'm not too worried about that... I think it'll still look pretty clean. I'm much more worries about my plate wiggling around in the case while I type. Were the Vortex cases designed like the Tex where it required a plate with the notches sticking out?
Got a grey one already. Definitely in for a black one once restocked.

The MK Disco fits very well and you don't need the daughter board since the new cases come with a cable which plugs directly into the keyboard. :thumb:

No. There have been changes to the channel inside the case, and that USB daughter board is gone. There is a through hole, and Tex provides you with a USB cable which can plug directly into the PCB.

Got my cases the other day. Still hoping to see that orange place holder go in stock :blank:
Is there any elegant solution for securing a Phantom plate other than using some shims for foam? I thought about adding some stems with epoxy to screw the plate down but not sure how well that would hold long term.

Well, we found that once you crank the screws down on it it should hold the plate in place
Here it is, finally change the stock case for my 2012 Year of the Dragon Ducky. This keyboard is a bittersweet memory about a very nice person called Lin Taobao Agent. Once upon the time she was my go-to proxy then people had to be mean to her, all sort of nagging and Paypal charge-backs and she retired.
Nice, the hot glue obviously is not adhesive at all toward the aluminum, but it creates enough friction so when sandwiched between bottom case and PCB, the daughter board stays in place firmly. I even dabble a few hot glue spots on the top side. Here it is, finally change the stock case for my 2012 Year of the Dragon Ducky. Thank you for the pictures. I ended up hot gluing the daughter board for my v80 at the top just like yours. Didn't really like plugging the usb directly into the board.

actually it adhesive really well. i couldn't even pull it off. maybe its the glue i used or something.
i wonder if there is anything non conductive i can put between the keyboard pcb and the metal bottom? seems really loud when i type.

Yeah I can see that the more I tighten the more stable it gets. I don't want to over-tighten those bolts though. A user on Reddit posted a build log using something like neoprene that helped stabilize the plate. https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/4dggdu/building_a_phantom_fixing_a_g803700/
axtran also mentioned a material called Sorbothane which might be what was actually used in that post. I might give something like this a try as it looks like it'd improve the overall feel anyway.

I'm just now discovering the Disco. You say it works with this case? That's awesome. I assume the Disco has a USB daughterboard... correct?
