Vertical keyboards?
« on: Sat, 24 July 2010, 20:27:43 »
Do there exist vertical keyboards with non-rubber-dome keys? I'm talking about the kind that are split in half, and set vertically, so that your arms aren't pronated ( or whatever it's called ) when you use it?

Has anyone used them?

I've never heard of such a keyboard. Sounds like an interesting idea though.

I've seen a few. Here's one that Fentek sells - the Comfort Keyboard System.

As much as you troll this board, I suppose you are more focused on trolling.

SafeType Keyboard. I don't think I have read anything positive about it though. I don't believe it's mechanical.

Datahand. While it's setup for lap use in this photo, you could position them however you find comfortable.

That is so ugly. And mirrors? I guess you can use it when driving too -- to see if anyone is coming up on the rear.

i'd like to try datahands though they are out of making, hard to find and extremely pricey

the vertical keyboards are fun but don't seem much easy to use

The mirrors make them look even more complicated.

The company tends to point you towards a scientific study about this keyboard - it's funny how the researchers quickly built a wooden frame to protect the users from the terrible wrist position it encourages...
