I had a look through this thread but couldn't find any dimensions. Does someone have them? (looking for a hardshell case (or maybe I'll go with RomeoTran's leather case), unless someone has recommendations for one already?)

14x7x3 is like standard for tkls, so get something in that vein

i got a big case for this and my other boards that don't have cases

well yeah, but I was hoping more specific.
or I'll just get a bigger outer case and cut foam padding to spec when I have it. I kinda want it padded snuggly, not just a random husk...

PS: also; liar! Your mira has a case ;) (I basically want something like the cases for Eve or TX boards but with fitting inner padding.)

Same here, after 1800, compact 1800 and a few others I gravitate back to TKL every time.

Just for clarity, Solotov was referencing the No. 2, of which there will apparently be only 10 kits.   (Not to take away from the discussion of the No. 1)

Got my No.1 last night and did a wash on it to find out I was not too impressed on the anode job done. The top and bottom piece have quite a number of visible marks from fingerprints and color mismatch spots.

Bottom piece spots:

Top piece is not so much better either  :(

I don't know how these would pass QC and to wait a long time for this finish kinda left me disappointed in the end. The middle insert and plate in purple have great anode which makes me think they did these separately  :-X

Hope that TM would have replacement parts for these since I don't feel like building this at all. More pictures of spots on the inside can be found here (I don't want to flood the post with pics and the marks on the inner piece would not be visible once built but still)

Got mine too, although I haven't taken it apart yet there are a few spots I'm not too happy with. Especially the bottom around the curved base. The rest of it looks pretty good though.

This has been such a disappointment, all this time we were waiting on packaging, did no one do any QC on these boards?

I agree this has been incredibly disappointing, especially after so long a wait. After all this time, I too had expected that boards were properly checked when they arrived months ago.

I encourage anyone unhappy with their board to reach out to TM to register their complaint. I have no info on what TM is planning to do to make things right, but sending them a message will hopefully ensure that your situation isn't overlooked. If I hear more, I'll post here, but at the moment I'm learning all of this from all of you as boards arrive.

Regarding any future Keycult projects, I'll be in control of the process from start to finish and will be able to enforce a much higher standard of QC. Type Machina was a really cool idea that has clearly stumbled at the beginning. I hope they can pick themselves back up, but for the foreseeable future Keycult will be operating independently.

Yeah, everything that's a problem is on TM and not Riot. Sorry if it seems that I meant it in that way. I still look forward to any projects Riot works on.

So, this means that the creators/designers of the boards just only passed the design to TM. The sole responsibility of manufacturing & QC is all on TM.
Guess this might happen to other projects from them as well (U-80 and so on). Then, I think I'll pass their future projects and wait for Keycult No.2 then.

Healthy skepticism is definitely warranted, but I'm not sure that all the projects through TM operated in the same way.

Seems like Originative likes to create side projects so that failed or half-hearted efforts aren't tied to them as a company and the side projects can be dissolved if need be. Just saying.

I sent a email to Originative on my received KeyCult I received with issues as well. I can tell the pictures have been viewed but I am also waiting on a response. I am affording their team the courtesy to review and let me know what they recommend. The packaging however was basically a brown box basic with two pieces of Styrofoam taped together witH packing tape that broke when shipped. In all defense the packaging was not entirely custom. I am reserving posting pictures here as I am still waiting to receive a reply to my email.

Given that I think I barely missed the group buy for the original run AND, as many people in discord can tell you, I’ve been told “next week” since basically thanksgiving time of last year I’m pretty disappointed. I could get over the stuff on the bottom or the back but the arrow cluster kills me.

Has anyone reached out to sherry about this?

Given the issues with the boards that have already arrived, I'd assume they've paused shipping to figure out what's going on and to (hopefully) make sure they're not shipping out more poor quality boards.

Sorry to all of you that have issues, but not all cases are bad. My grey and maroon case is flawless. I'm a happy customer. I hope that the rest of you get your problems resolved quickly, but perhaps a bit temperance is warranted before the community storms TM and burns it to the ground. ;)

i'd just want a little communication is all

i'm moving again in a few weeks and don't want to have to change my address a second time

i trust sherry and TM, just another thing for me to stress about at a time when i really don't need anything else to stress about

just a little "we're waiting for the 7u regular stabs to come in, it'll be like a week"

he said that it would be shipped two weeks ago and here we are

:/

i'm also ****ing excited for it, i saw the r1 proto and a softlaunch board in person the other day and it just reignited my love of this board

might get my brass weight pvd'd/cerakoted black cause holy **** the brass is heavy and i love it

no 1 is what i look at when i talk about iterating, shame to see the buy handled like this

i asked sherry to put some stabs in my package and i swear to god if that's what's holding it up
Yep, also still waiting. Paid for an upgrade some time ago, since then I didn‘t hear anything anymore either.

Given the issues with the boards that have already arrived, I'd assume they've paused shipping to figure out what's going on and to (hopefully) make sure they're not shipping out more poor quality boards.

I'm still waiting as well. Green/brass combo.

100% agreed about the communication. This is a little aggravating seeing people with their boards, him responding to their emails, but nothing in terms of communication for us who have no boards or tracking yet.

I heard somewhere that he was sending the ones that "passed qc". At this point, i don't even care about the quality of finish as i'd get it refinished anyway. I'd just like to be done with the roller coaster and have this board i've been so excited about.

She's here

Mild pitting and a small ding on one of the corners of the bottom piece (which took me a while to notice), but nothing worth crying over. Pics after I get out of this meeting.
