The lack of post game really sucks.
Hopefully, they'll make up for that in the third game.

The Battle Maison is incredibly lame compared to the Pokemon World Tournament, the Battle Frontier, and really any previous iteration of it.  Even the Battle Subway is more interesting than the post-game battles in X/Y.  And since we can't transfer any Pokemon yet, I'm pretty much off the online battling as well with nothing left to do.

Codes??

How to get pokemon eggs:
Put two in the daycare center, they get freaky, egg! But they'll have to be male and a female in the same egg group(google it). I believe the baby will be the same pokemon as the mother.
Or get a ditto, breed it with any pokemon of any gender, babies of that pokemon.

Except itself and legendaries.

Ditto is a sex machine! I've been doing all sorts of trading thanks to ditto!

I got a second ditto on the GTS the other day....traded it for the X legendary. It even came holding leftovers and in a masterball. Was like , whaaaat?"

GTS basically is global trade system
you put a pokemon up, you put what you want in return.
Its basically like an Auction House trading system if you've played any MMO.

Wonder Trade is random trades, you put a pokemon up and you'll get a random pokemon back from someone else

I've personally been working on getting non America region Pokemons to try to breed a shiny lol

Anyone has a foreign ditto ?
Apparently, by breeding with a foreign pokemon, your chances of getting a shiny would be much higher.
It's called the matsuda method iinm

Edit : Sry, it's called the Masuda method.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned that one earlier in the thread, dude.  Does nobody read my posts?

Chances are still pretty low, though, even with the shiny charm on top of the MM method.  I remember hatching eggs for hours upon hours one Saturday while watching kung fu movies and I never got a shiny out of it.  I did eventually hatch a shiny Phione, but it was about damn time.

Went back 120 posts to find it. You indeed mentioned the method, but it was in the latter part of your chaining paragraph so I never read it.

Ugh... just got luck-screwed in an online battle: his slower pokemon's quick claw let him move first twice in a row AND iron head caused me to flinch twice in a row, which has almost a 0 chance of happening, and I was pretty much doomed from there.

Hey, the only one you have to blame is yourself for choosing to repeatedly reset the game for a non-cumulative 1/8192 chance at a sparkle frog.

I've only ever seen two legit in-game shinies in my 18 year Pokemon career.
One was a Luvdisc, absolutely the most worthless Pokemon ever to exist.
The other was a Cubone that ran away in the Safari Zone.

Well, shiny Kingdra is pretty cool, and maybe he was looking for a good water/dragon type to complete a team for competitive use where legendaries aren't allowed.

Also, the Y legendary is pretty lame...

I traded my shiny Inkay for a dream world Vanillite, gave my shiny Stunfisk to a friend for helping me out, and gave a shiny Vanillite to a random person in Japan after a battle when we traded.  No idea why I did that.

Still have plenty of shinies in Gen V that I want to transfer.

The main story is just there to distract you until you can transfer all your competitive pokemon from the previous game(s) and fight your friends, or raise some new ones from the current game.

Of course, since GameFreak is being retarded and not letting us transfer until the end of December, and there is no post-game action to speak of, that's pretty much all we can do.  Beat the game and that's it..... until December 27.
