Hi there. The layout of the katakana sublegends that you have chosen for this set is based on an outdated Apple layout that was used only on some vintage Apple keyboards. Please consider changing the set to use the standard ANSI-JP layout.

Not sure how changing the dark green differentiates it more from Sushi. If anything, focusing more on the pink brings it closer imo. The color play between the cool white and the dark green was the highlight for me, so I hope you bring it back.

I love the new yellow but not a fan of the new pink. The older, darker shade was much nicer.

I don't mind the change in green, but I really wish green accent keys weren't replaced by yellow. My interest level in this set was highly dependent on the green accent keys.

Don't take the ePBT Sushi comparisons too harshly. ePBT Sushi is a great set but it has complete ass compat. I'm a huge fan of this set because if fills a similar role as my ePBT Sushi desires but has the compat that I need. Will definitely be in for this.

The green colorway was a lot better. Now this base kit just looks extremely generic as far as the world of Japanese/English kits goes. There are so many white caps with black/charcoal and red/pink already. Hope it's brought back.
Edit: oh and of course it's decided by a very close Instagram poll to an already done colorway. Rip.

Feel free to drop the R4 1u \|ム key from the kit, it's not necessary. In its place, I recommend adding a R1 1u `~ー key (for ISO and JIS layouts).

Edit: R1 End, PgDn in the base kit can also be removed as unnecessary keys since they are now included in the numpad kit.

That's what we've been saying since the beginning.

The colors look good but they aren't "small ramen shop" colors. Which are predominantly red, orange, and yellow with black and white texts. At this point I'm starting to suspect (shades of) yellow, green and pink are the creator's favorite colors. GMK Retrocast was also green, yellow and pink albeit in a different pantone.

From what I can gather, this kit is mixing support for two different layouts: a) English (UK) ; b) Japanese (Latin) as seen on JIS keyboards. Both are incomplete. I'll make a separate post with all the issues I find in this kit.

Konstantin has already pointed to the proper information about Hiragana and Katakana, so I'll focus on the Latin alphabet.

1) The base kit is ANSI only (plus the 1.25U Shift). This is fine, as long as the localization kit gets everything else right.

To support JIS (Latin): R4 \_ is missing. R1 7* should be 7' (bit-paired keyboard, remember!). R1 ¥| is missing.

To support English (UK): R4 \| is missing (also counts for English (US), PC style). R1 `¬ is missing.

Once a new diagram that combines everything is produced, I'll be happy to fine-comb it.

I am just a bit confused about the Bars Kit.
It feels very big but at the same time, it doesn't offer every color for split bars.

Is it not possible to include Kamaboko and Seaweed split bars into the current kit similar to the Colors Kit that has every color?

My favorite accents are Seaweed and Kamaboko. The only 2 colors left out


Or maybe to have 2 Bars Kits could be an option?
1 with every color for 6.25 and 7.
And 1 with every color for Split Bars.

I like the set, good colors, nice theme! An idea for round 2 maybe, how about a novelty kit with a few different caps in all the color choices? I don't see many people needing 20-30 novelty keys, and if you want variety in colors then you're looking at dozens of extra caps.

It did occur to me at one point, but I just decided to focus more on keeping the base kit price low. However when I do this next time I'll make a Command kit for my mac folks.

They white is completely different, the pantone I chose for it looks similar to WS2 but slightly cooler.
