As a passionate enthusiast of vintage and custom mechanical keyboards, I've always been drawn to the classic designs of the 1980s and early 1990s, particularly those that featured the iconic 10u spacebar. There's something about the larger spacebar that adds to the nostalgia and unique aesthetic of those old-school setups. Inspired by the Geonworks W1-AT, which brings the 10u spacebar back to life in a modern context, I decided to collaborate with Awekeys, a company renowned for its high-quality metal keycaps. Together, we aim to create a spacebar that honors the past while integrating seamlessly with today's keyboard kits. After discussing manufacturing and compatibility with Awekeys' engineering team, we confirmed that this project would work perfectly with current 7u spacebar-compatible kits, ensuring an easy installation and flawless performance on a wide range of custom keyboards. I'm excited to bring this piece of keyboard history back to life for fellow collectors and enthusiasts.

I am curious about the weight of these spacebars of 10 size. Do you have a reccomended spring weight for the spacebar?

The spring weight needs to be 100gf+ I think. Will keep you guys updated when I get the sample keys.
