I like mine. PS/2, but works with any USB adapter I've thrown at either keyboard or Trackpad. Plate mounted Cherry black with 2KRO. The removable splash guard adds to the force required to press a key.

EDIT: change from 7 left to "more than 10" left. Fascinating.

Does the splash guard add tactility, like a dome? I've been wondering that for a while.

From a PM conversation with Parak about the splash guard:

Quote from: Parak
Membranes do make it stiffer (crappier), as blacks are hard enough as is.

Hi guys,

I'm actually the seller. My wife is responding to everyone's purchases now. Thanks to spolia optima for pointing us in this direction and I thought I'd take the opportunity to clarify shipping.

Half-Saint, we are shipping internationally; my wife is responding to you via eBay and she's revising the listing to include international shipping as well.

Additionally, we're revising the listing to point out that you can get up to two keyboards shipped for the same flat-rate; it doesn't matter whether you buy one or two, shipping will cost the same - $10.95 domestic US, $45.50 international.

We've actually got more than the 10 we initially listed available, that's just the quantity we put on eBay to gauge interest.

Thanks guys. Message me if you have any questions about them. I'd say that if the questions are technical in nature though, you guys probably know more about them than I ;-)

The membrane does protect it well, even though it develops rips around the keys eventually with age. You get pretty much a pristine plate and switches once you throw the membrane away.

Thanks for pointing that out so we could correct the shipping there as well. For our Canadian and Mexican neighbors, the flat-rate shipping is $27.95. Still not great, but better than $45.50 ;-)

All of our shipping quotes are direct from the USPS site, so know that we're not profiting off of shipping in any way.

If anyone else sees any thing that seems out of whack with shipping to some areas, or shipping with multiples in checkout, let me know. We're not looking to make mega dollars on these; we're just looking to move them.

We should finally be caught up responding to everyone's that's messaged us on eBay with questions. Thanks for the interest everyone ^_^

I just ordered 2 of these. The other I will try to do a ghetto red mod on, and the other I will probably give to a friend who wants to try out mechanicals. Didn't come too expensive after all. About 60€ for two of these delivered feels like a fair price to me.

Received mine today. The black switches are definately a breath of fresh air from regular rubber domes. I took the membrane off immediately and will say that the black switches felt 100% better after. Really fast shipping by seller, I live in U.S. though, so that is probably the reason. G/F and I are currently cleaning the key =]

Yeah, if you get one of these, you have to take off the membrane.  If you don't you're going to wonder why you bought one.  My space bar is pretty hard to depress.  Not sure if anyone else noticed.

The blacks might have to grow on me.  I can feel a definitive difference in the space bar.  Everywhere else is pretty cool.  I can see why people say Blacks for FPS and Browns for RTS.

Man, these things are 1000% better without that lame rubber sheet. It DOES add tons of tactility, though... Unfortunately it makes the switches way too heavy.

Makes me wonder though... what if the rubber domes were higher-quality and real light in feel. Then, what if you took those domes and mounted them over red/brown cherry switches? In my mind, you'd get the tactility of a rubber dome with the activation point of a topre.

Hmmm... Makes me wonder.... I should rip apart one of those old Apple keyboards (the ones with the Fujitsu Libertouch-esque switches) and mount the domes to some cherry switches... No. I have exams this week. F*ck that. Need to get back to work.

Why don't you simply spring mod a few of the black switches with springs from blue cherry switches and tell us how that feels.

Because TG3 uses plate mounted switches and you need to desolder them to get at the innards.

Does the splash guard add tactility, like a dome? I've been wondering that for a while.

The splash guard adds to the force required to press the keys, but really doesn't change the nature of the linear feel.

I'm looking for a 'thiick' splash guard. They come in two flavors, white translucent (thick) and transparent saran wrap (thin).

Yeah, for the little that I tried it out with the membrane still on, it just required more force to press the keys. Pretty crappy feel if you ask me. Much better removed.

Ya. After removing the membrane, it feels much better now.
And I just found out that the space is a little lower than other keys in that row. Kind of different from other keyboards I used. Not very used to it yet.

Mine came with the hard-rubber splash guard. Keys are noticably harder to press but overall I like it. The keyboard does not look used at all.
