I actually got this stuff in on mon, just didn't have a chance to post it. 66 very lightly used ALPS SKCM Orange switches & one of those broken PCBs with well worn MX blacks from the TKC. Haven't got a chance to de-solder the blacks yet as I've been focusing on getting my AEK64 build finished for Keycon. Although the blacks do feel very smooth & I believe they will make for a great feeling board.

Added a new mechanical pencil to the collection: Pentel Kerry 0.5mm

I really like that it has the large cap so it's safe in a bag or pocket. Very nice finish, as well.

Instead of shelling out $150+ for a genuine Sega-brand Saturn-style USB gamepad, I got an old Sega Saturn gamepad and a cheap USB knock-off and transplanted the USB controller PCB into the old pad.

However, before the transplant, a USB wire broke while testing. The cheap pad's cable end sleeve (what's the correct term for this?) was too loose and I suppose the solder joint had rattled apart. I put some electrical tape on it to make it a tighter fit.
I also soldered the Sega's shoulder button microswitches onto the knock-off's PCB, and now the buttons are much lighter.

Can't believe the USB versions cost that much! I paid $60 for mine a few years ago; it was brand new, but out-of-box.

They're not the same thing. I've had both.

They don't make them anymore; I had to get mine on eBay.

It isn't going to be my everyday pencil, either. Like all my pencils (of which I have probably too many) it has its purpose (namely looking upscale and being pocketable).

The closest thing to my everyday pencil is the Staedtler Integrity / Platinum ZeroShin (same pencil) as they're all-around fantastic. Uses nearly all the lead, long capless eraser, durable tip, and very comfortable.

I was thinking of getting the 500. I have the 600 and I find it too heavy to be comfortable for any extended use (especially top heavy).

I have the Pentel Graph 1000 for Pro which I really like because of its 0.4mm lead (the perfect size, IMO). Wish 0.4 was more common!

I also got one of those TKC boards, what did you think about it? I thought the switches were incredibly scratchy, like to another level! do they just need to be cleaned or are they really that bad for others too?
The m0ar empty you feel,  the m0ar space for Keycaps..
