Adding Text to SA Keycaps in Blender
« on: Fri, 26 January 2018, 13:28:58 »
Hey guys,

In my spare time I've decided to teach myself how to use Blender in order to render myself some keyboards,

just wondering what the optimal way to add keycap legends do the objects is. I havent found any templates that have SA font legends, so I assume Il'l have to create from scratch, that being said.

Do I arrange my keyboard first in blender, take an orthographic topdown view image
make an svg that I can lay over top, then once thats done, import it to the scene and lay it over top? Will SA keycap curves be problematic?

or should I be adding text objects for each legend into the scene?

Any help would be great!

This is a good question, as I told you in PM I am trying to developpe some ideas that I have for keycaps and it would be very nice to be able to make 3D myself :) ! Do you already find some nice 3D models of SA keyset ?
