Custom Keyboard Layout
« on: Thu, 13 July 2017, 11:41:47 »
I'm about to get some custom plates and/or cases made for my first keyboard build now that I found a local laser cutting service with reasonable prices. Problem now is I can't decide which layout to go with.  Let me know what you guys think.

99 Key Compact

98Key No Arrows

99 Key Seperated

I'm actually thinking about getting all three plates made so they will fit in the same case so I could try them all out. I just have to get better with draftsight/librecad. Drafting software is still a little over my head but I'll probably get there eventually.

I'm on my first mechanical keyboard myself and these are very similar to it. The main diference is the numberpad. I actually like the way mine sits with the numbers and delete key cluster in the same place as they would normally be.

Mine isn't programable, straight pcb mounted, no plate, plastic case. Apparently has led support but I'd have to add the leds myself. Also has some provisions for wireless but none of the needed hardware is included.
