Ello Ello!
« on: Wed, 11 March 2015, 17:00:05 »
New to this site but it popped up about 50 million times when I was searching up things about the Vortex KBT Race 2, and seemed like a cool community that shared all my interests so here i am!
Have a steelseries 6gv2 red that I've been using for awhile now, but am looking for a new keyboard to start playing around with mods and new keycaps and such!

Welcome! There are many things going on if you really want to get your feet wet with modding keyboards. If you have any questions feel free to message people. Most people on this forum are super helpful and knowledgeable.

Hit me up if you need anything!

Welcome to Geekhack!

You'll fit in well around here if you want to buy a second keyboard to play around with.

And then a third to go with that new keycap set.

And a fourth to try a different switch.

And a fifth for the backlighting.

And a sixth ... ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
