Round 5 Doubleshot Honeywell Sphericals
« Reply #450 on: Sat, 25 April 2015, 23:25:37 »
This was my first ever GB since I joined Geekhack and keyboard scene. Since then, I've owned at least 5 sets from other GB. I'm not sure I want to participate in future 7bit mega GB. It's mega for a good while and then spun out of control. Seriously - does the set even look like Honeywell anymore? It has almost all colors combo in the world.

7bit buys always take forever.  This one was supposed to be different, because they were going to stick to a schedule.  I should have known better.  I cancelled my order, like, a year ago.

i really hope 7bit is a real robot, since there must be a crap ton (or several) of R5 caps to sort and ship out.

I went in hoping for the best but not believing the hype. With 7bit you gotta assume a lengthy buy, but this one is a record. Also, there were quite a few production delays as the R5 order was repeatedly bumped behind smaller PMK orders.

That's a good way for SP to send 7bit to GMK

SA profile is an SP product so of course he will. He's already got orders for a Round 5a.

He has mentioned using the PMK Group Buy system to get a superior/guaranteed production slot, since SP prioritizes the PMK orders higher in the production queue.  Not sure how he'll pull that off, but it sounds like a good plan to me.  I've had an order for Round 5a since shortly after they were opened.  We'll see how long it takes...

7bit's announced he's completed sorting and packing of all the individual kits, so he can now put together and ship the orders!

If your address has changed since you ordered, now would be a good time to PM the 7bot with your new details.

FIRST wait and see if anyone actually RECEIVES their key-sets first to which they had paid, since middle of last year.

When they start getting and posting their keys online here or on DT then you can believe that his Group Buy had occurred.

Nothing is real until it actually turns up on your front door  8) .

I have a set of Round 4, and the Round 4 Repair Kit was part of Round 5 - some replacements for keys that had the wrong width and/or profile - so I'm happy to hear things are moving forward.  It's been a loooong wait!

Well last week he had 250 orders packed to be shipped and your order was in that list (as was mine):)  It probably takes him a little while to get through them all.

Here's mine. I like blue. I've got a full blue mod set (and red alphas, for two complete SA sets) on order for round 5a, so I should receive that sometime in 2016 or 2017 I guess.  :-\

Until then, I made do with the few blue keys available from the repair kit:

Bonus Polar Seas Keythulhu sitting in the boss seat, R'lyescape:

The lower height is definitely noticeable. He needs a booster seat.

Just got notification from 7bit that my whole order is shipped so now it looks like I can get all my Round 5 babies before the end of September.

There was a lot ordered but looking forward to spending at least a week in sorting them all out for lots of keyboards that desperately need these keys.

finally got my round 5 sets today!  back when i ordered these, i had just gotten into mech keyboards, and my plan was that these would be my first and only set of aftermarket key caps...  keke.

this is the first time i've gotten SA caps before.  they are ridiculously huge.  i really love the round 5 colors, especially the red.  i will take some pics after i get a chance to put these on a board. :)

Anyone have a black Row3 "Q" that they don't need?  Looks like my order has one missing cap, and if there's someone in the US with a spare, that's probably the cheapest/quickest replacement option.

Ha! Yes I have an extra black Q. I think it's row 2, though.

My order came with two Qs, but no 1/!. You wouldn't happen to have that would you? Either way I can send you the Q because 7bit told me to keep it.
