Starting a new thread at the request of a user, since it has been rebooted. This is a continuation of Quarzacs groupbuy. This is for black cherrycorp doubleshot keys in used condition. Some sets are in great condition, others have some shine. I believe all sets will need to be cleaned.

The keys are from Cherry G81-8000 keyboards which have the following: All keys will fit standard Filco/Leopold/Cherry MX keyboards except the bottom row keys (Ctrl, Alt, Space, Windows, Menu, Capslock), which have off-center stems. All keys are doubleshots except the bottom row keys mentioned above.

Note: CherryCorp doubleshots are some of the best keycaps still in production (more than twice the thickness of Signature Plastic keys)

Prices are as follows:
1 Set to continental USA: $20 shipped
2 Sets to continental USA: $35 shipped
1 Set to international: $28.25 shipped
2 Sets to international: $43.25 shipped

Those R1 Ctrl, Alt, Win, Menu sure look like 1.25x in that picture. Are they 1.5x?

They obviously look like 1.25x keys...
But why do the Ctrl, Alt, Windows, Menu keys have off-center stems?
So, the stems are located differently from G80-3000 boards? Hmm...

They are 1.25x but do have offcenter stems as pictured by Jophess. Why Cherry does this, I have no idea :der:

All but 2 of the sets that were paid were shipped, I will be updating you with tracking numbers, if you are in the US (they don't give the option of tracking numbers to international mail).

Hmm... I'm not too versed in the history of Cherry's manufacturing but the PBT stamp from the mold on the spacebar is just because they used an old mold and not in reality PBT plastic but ABS, correct?

My spacebar says "" and also passes the acetone test.

My F4 is oddly shiny. Wherever these keys came from, they made a lot of mistakes, the Backspace and Delete keys are very well polished.

Considering these came from POS boards, I'm not surprised at how shiny the number pad keys are (or how dirty they were).

I gave them a bath in denture tabs, now they're minty fresh!

I've also noticed a change in sound from my keyboard since installing, the 'clicks' have become 'chirps'.

Yeah, it looks like they have some kind of residue on them. It's on the stabilizer too. Definitely doesn't look like damage to the plastic.

Wasn't it already mentioned that these are unclean and may have residue to clean off? i was under that impression at least. All looks good my end.

Hey, that white stuff will come off with scrubbing. I had soaked 2 or 3 sets in soapy water before I mailed them, which caused the white residue for some reason. It is not permanent though, will come off.

Landed in London today. Many thanks. Already managed to get my numberpad swapped. I take it I need a 'moogle' kit to get the bottom row for my Filco?
