Looks like I'll just be getting the Linux kit.
I was really hoping for Japanese, or Korean.

RIP Nerdom
?

I just wanted to buy 12 nerdom kits for Space Invader keys,
don't think I'll want to shell that much cash for 12 gamer kits.

I am still however very excited for round 2, [kinda wish that red enter happened],
and will spend all sorts of money on more beautiful granite caps.

I was looking forward to red enters and gamer/nerdom being separate as well - not interested in the nerdom

Quick question: are there only light gray/dark gray colored keys for these sets or can I choose the colors?
Thanks.

Its dark gray mods with light gray alphas, thus the "granite" name. Prelim sets can be seen here http://imgur.com/a/b7H1F

Dressing a JD40 requires: Common, Text Mods or Icon Mods, and the Speciality Keyboard Kit.

It still seems like something is missing if you only use those 3 kits. The Text Mods kit has plenty of 1.25u ctrl/alt/super/etc. keys and also the 1.25 Right Shift. The Specialty Kit has the 1.25u Tab and 1.75u Enter keys covered, but what would you use for the 1.75u left shift, or a 1u FN or 1u ctrl/alt keys for the bottom row? It seems like you are almost required to buy the Text Pro mod kit as well.

The RGB kits also have the 1.75 and 1.25 shifts covered, but not enough keys to cover the bottom row. Still trying to figure out what to do!

for 1u i was thinking you could use the DT/GH keys
you got me on the 1.75 shift though, it would have to be your other enter key.

it sucks that you have to buy more kits just to cover your jd40
but in all fairness you paid $200 for a 40% keyboard

I'll go edit my post as to not spread misinformation.

I'm using my 1st post to Thank you Matt3o for all your hard work!

I got here too late for Round 1.  Now Round 2 gave me a reason to join.

I have a few requests in the Mono Legend Kit (All these requests are for the GDE color),
Can you include 1.5u  \  key and  |  key
Also the 1u  `  key and  ~  key
Next these might add too many keys to the kit but here goes,
5  6  7  8   and  %  ^  &  *
For people with no F-Row to get that Light, Dark, Light look to their top row.

Yay! Round 2. Can't really think of anything new that I'd want to add.

I noticed that there is a 6.25u spacebar listed... What does that mean for the size of the one that comes with the Common Kit?

it's an additional spacebar (same as common kit)

Why so serious?

It was a joke and my wish for how these kits should turn out.

I wanted to see peoples reaction, and how they felt about it.

I put those pics together myself, why take them down?

we have to find a sweet spot between price and features. Personally I prefer to spend $20 more on a set and have everything I want, but understandably many prefer to keep the price as low as possible. What we have now I believe is pretty close to a good compromise.

I agree with matt3o, I would spend more to get what I like and want and I did that a few times, but the wast majority is looking also at the prices so I think the way the sets are now is perfect.
I loved the orange and yellow win/menu keys in R1 but I'm happy that R2 is happening  :thumb:

Maybe as a standalone set, this wouldn't influence the price of any other set they might be added to.

I'm okay with that too, but maybe it should be rolled into the RGB set? Are people opposed to that?
Actually, my ideal would include an icon yellow/orange set as well. But now I'm just getting greedy.
