My ergodox is dying. Help
« on: Fri, 01 August 2014, 13:58:05 »
Ergodox, completed less than a week old.
Keeps shutting itself down.
Some good day it will function for half a day before shutting down.
Replugging the USB solves the problem
When jabbing the finger on the key too hard will either shutdown the board or produces infinite repeated keypresses, so I kinda have to type on it so tenderly.
Today it will only function for a few seconds before shutting down.
Anyway to check and revive it. I love the design so much....
Now I'm back to my trusty Kinesis as backup. I don't want to ever type on normal keyboard again.

I'd look at the soldering from the USB pigtail to the PCB: sounds like an intermittent joint

Any pictures?
