What's your favourite production Keyboard?

What would be your favourite if you had to choose, with the following rules:

-Must be currently in production (and available for purchase right now)

-No mods (lubing switches adding/removing/swapping parts etc.)



For me, there's always the Unicomp boards, but they are too loud for my office environment and at home I prefer a few gaming features built in.
So unless I switch offices, this will be decided between the Steelseries Apex Pro and the Wooting Two.
I've not had a chance to test out the Wooting, but have one on order right now.

Is the original Corsair K70 still in production? That Mk.2 is hideous, of course. Otherwise the K65. Either one with Cherry blues, I guess. If there are any random boards that finally have box jades, then maybe one of whatever that is.

Wait, even though I don't have mine yet, would you count Ellipse's new production Model F boards?

Seconding this. The newest iteration with the Hybrid Type-S fixed the few issues I had with the prior model, and is my perfect out of the box keyboard.

HHKB Layout is ergonomically better than the normal 60% layout. Everything is designed to adhere to the keyboard standard while being easy to adjust to. Plus, it looks better than the normal 60%.

I have never tried stock Topre. With BKE domes, I think they are too tactile. Just my opinion.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I had a Type-S for nearly two years but the layout is just inferior to TKL for usability, though it is more portable. The FC660C is a good compromise, uses genuine Topre and has a unique layout where it's essentially 60% in size but keeps the full arrow cluster and Insert/Delete separately. If you don't mind portability then I'd say give the TKL or even fullsize a go.

I have 0 interest in 60% boards as well. I already use way too many hotkeys, I don't want to need to grow a few extra fingers.

That sounds like it may be one of the few useful 60% boards.

I do like portability, but I like desk space even more, when at work. There's never enough desk space for all of the laptops in various states of dissection sprawled out everywhere.

Still not sure I would want to own a topre board, I'm a clicky guy. Knowing how it feels to determine that though would be nice.
