With retooled MX blacks, typing is super smooth and sound is great.

Latest from 80 on discord today is that:

- Shipping to the USA should start in 10 days (so around 24 Feb)
- Packages to the USA will be sent via SF economy, which will cost around $25 (if you don't have a PVD bottom), and then transfer to UPS once it's in the USA
- SF economy will offer tracking and signed-for delivery

I think it's just the angle (from sort of above/north of the bottom row) and lightning (right on top, few visible shadows) that makes it look like a big gap. If you expand it you can see - I think - that the gap is a lot smaller than might initially appear.

why it's matte when gold is glossy?

Not sure about why actually, probably related to the PVD coating techniques the factory has. Can check with 80 - matte black looks really good though

Not everyone received their shipping invoice yet. 80 flew back to China a few days ago to help with the shipping. Hopefully soon!

Thanks, yes, 80 just got back home after 55 hours of flight (got delayed, canceled and re-routed). The sole purpose of this trip is for this GB, hope all will go smoothly from here.

Quick heads-up for those of us who ordered layout #2 (multi-blocker or multiple layouts with blocker) – just got an email from 80Ultraman:

There is no problem with building a 2U backspace, or you can cut the switch a little bit to fit in. This is tested by one of the buyers.

UPDATE for those that are not on Discord:

Those that have not filled out the Shipping Form.

As stated above, there is an issue with layout 2 with split backspace. where one of the side is off 0.35mm. According to Gghi/80Ultraman, you can:

1. get a fully refund.
2. change to regular layout.
3. get partially refund for cannot built split backspace
=or-
4. shave the switch a little bit (see picture below thanks to konstantin)
