Status update: Australia orders are out, Canada orders are out, two US orders are waiting for payment before they can go out, EU proxy order is waiting for three to pay before it can be shipped. Other than that GB orders are complete. I'll be waiting until I can get those orders out and hear back from the proxies before putting the extras up for grabs.

Apparently I was one of those 3 unpaid EU orders. The invoice was sent to an address I never check but is paid now.

Will this have a round two? It's so cool

Also, are you still planning to write up a build guide?
I know it would help newbies out like me.

I do know that would take some time to do though.

Not to be rude, but invoices were sent to the emails provided to me in the order submission and the same address as the original order invoice was sent to.

I'm not sure about a "round 2" exactly, but I do have plans in mind for more unnecessarily large macro pad projects in the future.

I would like to, but right now that's a several hour investment that I can't easily make in the middle of GB-fulfillment-season. That said, if there's anyone out there that would be interested in making a guide of their own build of this that could be featured as *the* build guide, I would definitely help with providing anything necessary.

Starius, do you mean the hardware? I can take a few pictures during the assembly process.

That would be great!

EU bulk shipment went out today, as soon as I get some confirmation on proxy orders ending up where they should I can move on to getting extras up when I find some spare time under hiding under a rock or something.

Some extras will be going up this week. The link will be https://donutcables.com/product/scrabblepad-pcb-extras/ which isn't currently live. I'm only putting up a certain amount until I confirm that the EU orders reached their destinations ok, after which the rest will be up. Maybe after these are done there could be a potential discussion of a round 2 of sorts? :P

The first batch of extras is now up for grabs.

Edit: there was a small issue with shipping calculation, but I've adjusted it and it should be resolved now.

Is there any update on the UK orders as the last email was early October.

Mechboards.co.uk has them on hand and you should have received an email from him about shipping.

Is shipping to the rest of Europe handled by someone else?

I still haven't received an email from mechboards.co.uk.

donutcat, could we get an update from your end?

It would be counterproductive if we all start emailing mechboard.co.uk if he already isn't replying to any of our emails.

I've messaged David and am currently waiting for a reply. He may just be waiting on boxes for the PCBs before he can calculate shipping due to their odd size.

Hey all,

Sorry, I wasn't watching this thread. I don't recall seeing any emails so I'm sorry if we haven't replied.

We've had some personal news that has slowed us down and to be quite honest, the scrabblepad GB (among literally everything else) has moved very slowly the last week or so. I'll make sure to get these all packed over the weekend, and sent on their way. Sorry for the hold up and lack of transparency.

Don't want this to sound all corporate, but it is what it is. Ben and I should be fully up to speed next week.

Hope this helps

Cheers

David

Anyway received more than the "how much do you want to pay for shipping" email?

I really want to get started on this thing but it's beginning to look more like a 2019 thing...

I assembled the electronic part of the Scrabblepad and documented my approach.

If anyone wants to follow a guide, you can find it here: https://github.com/JonasGe/ScrabblepadAssembly/blob/master/README.md
