I'll have these sold as I get some pictures.

I might sell the A profile first for people who wants them.

The price will be $130.

So $2.40 cents more then that group buy, and lets also consider here that Sherry dropped thousands+++ of dollars to order this to make whatever profit hes making.

For the people in the US, this is even cheaper as this is local shipping, as for Asia maybe it's a tad more expensive? I'm not sure on the shipping cost in EU

EDIT: Actually it's probably even less as there's the PayPal currency conversion of the 95,60 € which they always take a cut

EDIT2: Oh and it comes with a GMK spacebar compared to no spacebar, I think with the PayPal conversion rate + the spacebar thing I'm pretty sure it's well more then $2.40

Wallethack at its best.
Cases GB, and now, lovely keycaps for sale directly.

Yay

Well I understand where you're coming from but from someone that drop thousands of dollars on his own to make it happen someone decided to just jump on the MOQ to get the same price is kinda of shady.

I am also pretty sure kboardvintage added on a cost of his own to make it worth his time, who knows maybe the price ends up being the same as that "groupbuy"

I was wondering why you were saying that to me, then I realized you were quoting another guy :P
Indeed it is unfair to sheraton to have someone jump on his order.

I hope the conflict can be resolved amicably.
For what its worth, I ordered blanks from kbdvintage.
Since sheraton isn't offering those, is there a conflict in this sense?

I was really hoping you could make a dolch style set that was dye-sub pbt.

Does anyone else think this would be cool?

Gotta wait for PBT Double Shots ;)

Are pbt double shots even possible?

Yes, but super expensive and the one DS PBT I had, the stem broke since PBT is so brittle

Your two points has nothing to do with what I was trying to say...

The issue was the MOQ. Since I don't know the details my examples might be exaggerating.

If the MOQ is 100 sets per colour (400 sets total) to get that price, then that means Sherry dropped enough money to get that price for those colours, but kboardvintage having to only buy 30 sets total to get the same price how is that fair for Sherry?

Also as I said, I am pretty sure kboardvintage added on cost to his group buy so who knows maybe the price Sherry is selling it at is more or less the same (for reference the cost was 95,60 € = $127.60 USD)

You will be surprise how often such things happen. Companies wouldn't care as long they get paid. The only thing that matters is who will be the first sucker to pay the set up cost. If you've been in business for a long time. You will see worst things than this. Dont be surprise that kboardvintage would still get "your" keys regardless.

It's just typical (modern day)businesses where loyalty and protection counts nothing. As disgusting as it is, only money talks.

I'm not trying to say what Sherryton did is wrong but rather I'm trying to say is what they(manufacturer) did is a business norm these days.

So, perhaps this is a silly question, but I've heard such great things about the cherry/BSP PBTs (and that red set looks quite nice), and I'm a little lost.

What are the differences between these and the thick imsto pbts? I understand that they're made by different companies, but how do they compare?

I'm expecting these to have slightly crisper legends and a truer white color for white keys.  Imsto's keys are an imatation, these are the real deal.  Also, mod sizes (ctrl/win/alt) of the BSP sets are the right size for customs and vintage keyboards while imsto's are sized for the layout of more modern boards (1.25x for imsto versus 1.5x/1x/1.5x for BSP).

They're both kind of similar, but they are both a lot different as well.  The way the companies print the legends on the keycap is a lot different from one another.  The print on the BSP key is a lot more clear as compared to the imsto keys.  I'm sure the weight is a little different as well.  For some keys like the Shift, the imsto keys win in being thicker.  Also, Cherry PBT has been considered to many as really soft and smooth.  The imsto keys are not as smooth.

I'm not sure why the legends are more clear on the BSP.  Maybe it's because they have the original file.  The print on the imsto keys are a lot thicker.  Also, the font is bigger.  I imagine on some keys that the BSP are around 10 while the imsto are 12 size.

Will there be a 1.25 mod 6.25 space option at some point in the future?

This will not be available for a long time.

Interesting, thanks for the explanation!

I'm kind of interested in picking some up, but I'm already waiting on a dolch set, and already have more keycap sets than keyboards (and only one with 1.5x/1x/1.5x/7x)... we will see.

Here is his picture from his blog, http://dangwang.wordpress.com/.

People who are interested in it right now will have to message me or email (sheraton@originativeco.com) with the message title "A Profile BSP Dye Sublimation Set".

In the body, put the following information:

Name/Alias on forums
Paypal address/Amazon Payments address
Shipping address
Color of the sets you would like

At this time, we will only limit each set to 2 per person.

I'm a bit dissapointed in the flaws that Dan listed:

Print Screen and Pause/Break have different legends
    F5-F8 use white base
F and J have nipples instead of scoops
Tilde is also a different legend

:(

The original RGB set has been available on our web-site.

https://www.originativeco.com/pbt-dye-sublimation-rgb-and-red-esc

I would not say absolute original as this set is B profile, while the original DESKO RGB is A profile.

That's one of the original Olivetti's, an Italian G80-3000.  You can tell that one is double shotted because of the F and J scoop, but they made a PBT Dye-Sublimation using the same font and colored keycaps.

The product, CKS-SHLIV-G81, was for us.  The SHLIV stands for my name, Sheraton Liv.  Do not let anyone fool you that this is their product.  I believe it was wrong that BSP allowed someone to order a small amount, because the MOQ is very high.  I had to order a high amount, and someone jumped on our MOQ somehow.  I have talked with them, and I believe they are going to cancel their order.

Are you talking about this thread? http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=43104.0

The same picture is in there so does that mean whoever bought those sets are going to get their order cancelled? This would be upsetting to say the least.

Well it is definitely upsetting.

2 - 1x winkey.

There are no space bar and 1.25x winkey in the set.  BSP do not have the molds for those keys.

The sets look pretty much like this:

No spacebar is included, the F5-F8 keys are white (instead of beige like they would be on most 2 tone sets), and the print screen/sys req and pause/break keys have that line (although I don't think they are as thick as I made them in my mockup).

THANKS A LOT DIANODA! :)

The only thing that is different is the Windows legend.  It's a lot cuter than in the picture :D

Also, the caps lock is stepped.  The legend is 2 separate lines instead of 1 line.

Any news about scoops? Honestly, push for these, I know a lot of people are interested in them and it's a mold for SP that I think someone is trying to raise funds for.

The molds are around $10k (I'm not sure why), but BSP are not interested in making them.  Would you not rather be interested in a PBT Spacebar? :D

Can you please tell me what keys come with the set other than the usual?
1x winkey?
Spacebar?
1.25x winkey?

The sets look pretty much like this:

Show Image

No spacebar is included, the F5-F8 keys are white (instead of beige like they would be on most 2 tone sets), and the print screen/sys req and pause/break keys have that line (although I don't think they are as thick as I made them in my mockup).

Looks great! I'm still on the fence about no scoops and the F5-F8. The no spacebar and the bars on the print screen and pause don't bug me as much anymore

I personally don't care about a PBT spacebar, but I know a lot of people do (Ti spacebars for life)

I would be extremely interested in a PBT spacebar that matches the colour of the alphas perfectly.

I've thought about 1x caps before, but I deemed them too hard to make at the time. Now that I have a bit more experience in the shop, I think a spacebar might be doable :D

You want lignum vitae for the spacebar for higher density / strength.
I would buy one.

Here's a little fact about BSP.  They are the original company who owned the tools from the start.  I believe Cherry ordered sets from them, and they requested their own font.

If they don't have the scoop molds then couldn't do the Cherry PBT Dye Sub sets at all because I have an Olivetti Dye Sub ISO ES set with them and a ISO DE Dye Sub one also with them and every Cherry Dye Sub keyboard I've seen have those scoops in the F and J keys.

By the way I'm still shocked about what happened to Kboardvintage GB...you just made some people lose their opportuniy of getting those sets because you want to have monopoly over GMK and BSP sets. Not a good thing in my opinion.

You should've just did the beige F5-F8 in the first place :(

I don't care about PBT spacebars. Just sell replacements in matching colors.

I do not want monopoly over GMK and BSP sets.  I just want to make sure the sets I ordered goes into my hands and not someone else's.  If someone offered you a MOQ, you paid for it, and then someone else got the same item at no moq, then would you not be mad as well?
