Inspiration
This set was inspired by my two pet Axolotls. Axolotls are a kind of salamander native to Mexico that having been showing up a lot lately in pop culture so I wanted to share my love of axolotls with the keyboard community.

Kits

Base

All about that base, this kit will cover most tkl, 60/65%s, and features UK ISO, alice B and F13 [size]

Numbers

The numbers Mason, what do they mean?

Larva (40's)

Pour one out for the homies who miss this set. This kit should cover most of the popular 40% keyboards out there.
I opted to use icon mods for enter, shift, tab, and backspace because I think those legends in text + mod form are ugly on smaller u keys.
PLEASE fill out the IC for if you dislike this decision or if you want the set but I don't cover your board!

Tails (Space bars) and Mini Bars

The Tails kit features a space bar in each accent color in 7u and 6.25u as well as an alpha 6u. That makes 7 tails
The mini bars kit features alpha and accent bars in all your favorite miniature portions.
To be clear these are two different kits!

Morphs (Accents)

Different colored axolotls are called morphs. These accents will match the cute novelties you're going to buy.

Novelties


Each novelty kit features a color based on some of my favorite axolotl morphs. Repetition of novs is by design. Different layouts will need the faces on different rows to accommodate all 4. E.G. a TKL can fit all 4 in an f cluster but a 65 could put them in a macro column. The leucistic kit also has Ñ.

Axolotls are probably illegal to own where you live but this kit isn't.

How would you like to see them changed? I tried to keep them stylized and simple/cutesy in a kit small enough that someone could buy multiple colored kits without breaking the bank.

the grey doesn't really complement the pinks and it doesn't do well as a standalone accent either

Greatly enjoy the base colors. However, the novelties need work IMO - the illustrations don't seem up to par in quality with something I'd want to mount on a board, and I think the only colors that work well here are going to be the typical pink matching ones.

Dropping a color is easy enough if it does poorly in the IC, I have renders of the grey novelties on a board coming soon that I personally really like.

Also being epbt the mini bars kit should hopefully not be all that expensive (epbt aesthetic ran a similar kit with one less color for under $20). ePBT moq is very forgiving to child kits so if I’m not happy with IC responses or eventually quotes I can separate out colors or remove an unpopular one all together

I did try variations with more red than pink legends but the high contrast didn’t mesh well with the cute vibe I was going for. The green is also not particularly accurate to how green axolotls look but I sacrificed some realism to achieve the look I was going for.

1. Novelties definitely could use a little more work. There's a lot to play around regarding the axolotl as a mythical creature.
2. Maybe you can go a little deeper on the inspiration part of the post rather than just "kinda like a salamander"?
3. Since this is based totally on a Mexican indigenous species, you could honour the culture by adding the Ñ. Believe me, people will thank you for that.

Most Spanish/mexican people use ANSI but still use the ñ

Well to be fair, nobody is asking for a Spanish kit. Just consider adding the Ñ on the base kit or even on the novelties just like Zambu did on Jamon set. I understand the inspiration behind your set, but this is an animal that we value an respect here in Mexico. If you're deciding on running this set, I think it would be wise to show some sort of reserch regarding the topic and the culture you're being inspired by. Shows commitment and respect to the whole community. The Axolotl is not just you're pet.

I like this set and think it has a bright future. However, the novelties have too many keys in too many sets. I recommend turning it into one kit and only giving 3-4 keys of each colorway.

To you it may seem like it’s too many keys but removing any will make it so that some keyboards won’t be able to cover areas people commonly have novelties on (mainly XT and 65s with 2 key wide macro columns). I have specific use case in mind for EVERY single 1u novelty in the kit. And I understand some people simply don’t like some of the novelty colors so I would rather not mix. This is epbt so these novelty kits should be very cheap! My novelty kits are actually SMALL compared to ePBT ramenstop and ePBT aesthetic
