Update on mini GB:

The keycaps arrived today and I checked all of them briefly, everything looks good.

Unfortunately shipping from the post office is currently suspended for a lot of countries and for the rest I'm unable to add tracking and insurance for the time being due to the coronavirus.
There is still no lockdown but my city had to close parks and other public areas last week because people weren't taking the quarantine seriously, so I don't see much changing anytime soon.

I'll be sending them out as soon as possible with my current estimate being be mid to late April.

I don't have my equipment at the moment because I'll be moving soon but here's a quick picture of the keycaps:

P.S. All sets should use R5. Looks so clean.

Hey all!

Just received part of this order (the other half isnt expected to arrive until early April - shipping is pretty crazy right now). Bad news, this set did not come with the banderole. After talking with GMK they made some mistakes internally, and did not remember that this set had a banderole. Unfortunately this means that these will not be able to get the sleeves and will ship as-is.

Once we receive the rest of the order we will start shipping these out.

I believe they were introduced for 9009 r3, and were used for 8008. Not sure if other sets have used them yet.

I do prefer Dixie mods but yeah, that’s prob unexpected for people who do not like them or want 1:1 stuff from the renders.

Kinda happy about the Dixie mods, though sucks in general. I just didn't realize renders show both a square and a circular esc legend. Was hoping for circle but I guess square won.

I was gonna stalk down some extras of base or micons, so if anyone wants to unload theirs you're welcome to hit me up.

^dis. Dixie and Janglad introduced them with GMK 9009 R3, but it's basically fair game for anybody to use 'em

I prefer the original variant, but who cares if a designer wants to use a now common resource for every GMK set designer? Anyway, sucks if these were actually changed with no prior notice. Apart from all this, the Hiragana looks neat.

I personally don't mind the dixie style mods but that tab key is definitely the most egregious part of the whole dealio - that is highly unfortunate.

If I had to guess, I'd say the error was probably on GMK's end? They might've used the wrong moulds by mistake or something, I find it highly unlikely that Briano would just randomly change his mind on what to go with without informing the community and prospect buyers, even if the moulds were available by the time the kits were locked in and submitted to them (which I don't think they were).

That said, and especially if it was on GMK's end, surely they'll have to be sending out replacement sets (or at the very least every single modifier key).

Edit: well so much for it being on GMK. That's pretty disturbing.

Tab key is actually correct according to Mike - it's single line in the kit render, but for some reason it was rendered with two arrows for the board renders. Seems to be a mistake on the part of runner/renderer.
