I recently built a pair of OLKB Plancks and am using them both, one for each hand. I designed
my key layout with the intent of avoiding ulnar deviation (my one recurring RSI issue). The layout was inspired in part by
davkol's ambidextrous ErgoDox layout. I've also moved modifiers and some other keys inward from the edges to shift away from ulnar deviation. It's still a work in progress, but I'd be interested to hear people's feedback on it.
I've been using it pretty exclusively for a couple weeks now and the only real concern I have is the proximity of the left control for some key combinations I use as an Emacs user. I left it in the lower corner just because I have close to 3 decades of Emacs-driven muscle memory. It's never given me problems before, but now it's noticeably closer to keys I use together with it and I have larger hands which makes some combinations a little less comfortable than I'm used to. I'm forcing myself to alternate hands for modifiers more though, and also experimenting with a 3-pedal foot switch that gives me any one of control/shift/alt at a time.
