Very excited for this. Been trying to get an aftermarket R1 for a couple of months now but it seems my patience will have paid off if I can get in on this.

I'm not a big fan of the two extra columns to the left. I would also like to have a sperator between left arrow and the modifier key next to it.
Personally, taking away those columns takes away a good part of the charm for these keyboards.

A separate I can agree with.

And as previously mentioned, hopefully a revision to the acrylic diffuser lines and the badge/logo as well so it looks more elegant.

A 0.25u or 0.5 u separator on the right side of the keyboard for the nav-arrow cluster: between the left-arrow key and the mod on its left side.

Patiently waiting... for the slowly evolving VE.A v2 design with many improvements > VE.A v1

Edit: I really hope the hardware/firmware specs can be TMK / QMK compatible...

What board is it?

Tiffany Blue Cerakote M65-A with Sky-Blue Outemu housed Outemu Teal click stems on 75g springs. Authenitc Cherry stabs, lubed. Keyboard & Co. caps.

My personal perfect keyboard, to the 9's in Tiffany Blue (my favorite color) with my favorite click at just the right key weight. It might not be everyone's style, but for me, after I got this completed, I kinda stopped looking at the IC threads so much, cancelled out of a couple GBs. Still going to pick up the VE.A 2, SA Yuri, and maybe one or two other things here or there. But I don't think I will ever be able to top that, and it kinda has me feeling retired.

Too chunky imo. Design seems to be adding many current popular design cues, splitting it for ergo and call it a day. It wants to be too many things at the same time.

I hear you. I numpad left handed for work and have gotten used to it, this probably suits me better. It'll go to interest check some time in the future, maybe some improvements can be made and someone will make something.

Longtime no see.

We've decided to prepare a joint production of 'VE.A. 2nd.'

It took two years altogether.

The expected start date is around this November, but it could be a little faster.

Once the exact amount and date of deduction are determined, i'll update again.

Has there been any change with regard to layout (eg arrow separator) or cable (SATA)?

Thanks!

Hi Painmaster

Would this PCB fit in the R1 case as well?
I know the SATA cut-out is a bit different, but I can 3D print a part for that  :)

I believe the pricing on the original VE.A was $350+. I figured this one would probably be the same. This year has been pretty brutal for a lot of us.

Usually not included, international PP fees and shipping. Adding in 20% is probably a conservative estimate. Anymore, I just figure $500 to get something, $600 if najs... gotta have that extra plate and pcb as well...

I think that's a fair assumption to make - even then, hopefully they can keep it at or under 350. Would be great, and doesn't seem terribly outlandish despite the upgrades.
