I fixed a bent PBT spacebar by dunking it in boiling water for ten seconds then putting it on a flat surface with a heavy book on top for a few minutes while it cooled down.

I have heard other people have had success with this approach.

Is there any way for me to get this set? I really hope a round 2 happens eventually :)

I guess I can always scrounge the classifieds and put up a WTB. Or maybe it would just be easier to kill someone and take theirs :P

Boiling water is hot enough to shape PBT without damaging it or making it too soft.

I had the luck to receive no or not much warped keycaps. However if I had bad luck, I would first test this method with some worthless caps I don’t need. Excellent for this purpose are the blue extra keycaps Signature Plastics sent with each package. They are for the garbage can anyway.

If I am not mistaken those are ABS doubleshots, so they can't function as test caps for PBT ;)

Unfortunately my iso enter sticks (both of them, icon and text) because it is bend too
Anyone else got this problem?

I got the same problem on my icon iso enter (the text one works fine). Well, it doesn't stick, but it's hard to depress since the cherry stabilizers are so delicate to torsion.

I managed to fix it by dumping the warped part in boiled water and applying force with a screwdriver to the stem. Try it, it worked fine. I also got cherry stabilizers

At least you guys know where your package is supposed to be!

I don't even have a shipping notice :p

Ugh, I would not be able to do that.. Maybe if you contact Melissa she can help you out. They must have the shipping number on file.

I don't even know whether all orders have been sent out yet.

I had a rather large one containing the international set which was produced last afaik, so I am not worried yet :)

Still no sign of my set :(

Anybody else still waiting in EU?

Poker II (blues, 2 o-rings per keystem).  I type on Colemak; this board's program layer is Colemak and the program/function layer is the HHKB layout.  This keyset is very pleasing.

Hi Guys

I received the granite set and was very happy about it and tested it on my 60%. However this set was supposed to be for my ergodox and I realised that there are not enough keys to fill the ergodox. As i have bought the 3 parts : Common Kit + Text modifiers + Ergodoxian. Firstly i wonder if i done it right or is there other ergodoxian friends that have the same problem...

I wonder if anybody will be able to sell me modifier keys to fill up the bottom row. (Icon pro modifiers - 1st row as attached below) - Please PM me (thank you)

Finally got my package. I haven't had the time to do a full inspection of every single key yet, but overall things are looking good. Not perfect, but good. The biggest issue being that my ISO enters are missing in action, but I'm sure SP will fix that. Alignment and legends are for the most part looking good. Here are some crapPhone pictures:

Ducky mini with Tex alu case.

It's not so much the alignment, as it is the bottom of the W that is a bit deformed. Haven't found any keys with bad stem-placement so far.

The legends on the Æ, Ø and Å are a bit off center.

Filco MJ2 with some Cyrillic.

Overall really happy with how they look in person. Thanks to matt3o and Signature Plastics for making this work out. My first experience with DSA, but they feel good to me. I'm used to typing on flat laptop keyboards, so I didn't expect that to be an issue.

Looking really good kakarlsen  :thumb:

I hope my set turns out this solid as well. On the pictures the minor flaws are pretty much invisible.

What's wrong with the ISO Enter keys though? Everybody in this thread who ordered them said they are unusable.

Sounds like SP should do a second Round of them!

They want to do a Granite run?

A few people, including some very new GH members, have wondered whether there will be a R2, and at least one I think mentioned Massdrop.

I wonder how many registrations of interest Massdrop needs before they will start going through the motiont?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

In any case, you should wait until we see how they've fixed the tooling on the 1u caps before doing any more runs.

If today had been a hippo, then you'd really have to worry about tomorrow.

It has over 400 votes on massdrop fwiw, what percentage of those are sales is anyones guess however, but I'd say that's more than enough

Personally I'd like to get some extras that I regret not ordering if it goes ahead.

That was what I thought, thank you for the confirmation. I asked just because I have seen some posts from fellows that appeared to be very interested in getting the set through massdrop, that just adds another profit taker to the chain, meaning a higher cost product for the end consumer. Just senseless.
