Olivetti dyesubs on my recent GH60 ;)

Has everyone just ignored the fact that this is one of the most rare keysets in the entire keyboard universe?
That could be multiple thousands of dollars in caps alone. Serious here.
Never heard of dyesubbed olivetti!

The doubleshots are $1500 alone.
Imagine what the elusive dyesubs must be.
Wait what you are joking  right? Originative have some in stock for the ds variant

The ORIGINAL Cherry doubleshot Olivetti keycaps are $1500. Original Olivetti is also nothing like the new Olivetti that you see from Originative.
OG Olivetti uses a dark blue for legends along with light grey alphas.
The new Olivetti uses a lighter blue for legends with white alphas.
You should really understand the differences between GMK and OG. GMK actually has lower quality caps than when Cherry was in its prime. This is most likely due to the degrading condition of the tooling.

Pretty sure Photeq just scored the motherload of OG Cherry sets.

The ORIGINAL Cherry doubleshot Olivetti keycaps are $1500.
Sorry, but this is wrong.

I sold an original Olivetti keyboard with Cherry ANSI dyesubs for $1500. Realise that this is the ONE AND ONLY example of a complete, non-frankenstein Olivetti keyboard with original Cherry ANSI dyesubs that I know of.

The original Olivetti keyboards with Cherry ANSI doubleshots are worth a lot too, but nowhere near $1500. They are much more common, and the keycaps are less desirable.

Prelims keyboard is lovely, but it's ISO. It's not worth anywhere near $1000. Maybe a few hundred, I don't know..

Pls no more confusion

Extra note : that sale for $1500 was, I'm pretty sure, an anomaly. If another one of those gets found by someone I seriously doubt they will be able to get that amount.

Pretty sure Photeq just scored the motherload of OG Cherry sets.
I did, but those aren't Olivetti. Still worth a healthy amount, but not anywhere near $1500.

Yep. 4 rows of 4 fits HHKB perfectly -- one more column across fits a TKL about right... There's a strip of duct tape running underneath that holds it together. Folds for travel!

Nowhere else in the world can you get authentic home-made Hoffman dirt.
One-of-a-kind collector's item right there.

But Hoff, if you could let me I would love to wipe off all that dirt on your kish so I can make concentrated Hoff dirt.

I know. I'm just teasing.

I went to high school in Wisconsin. Other than waking up to the stench of cow manure in the mornings, I had a very pleasant four years. Probably some of the best years of my life.

It also was when I found my favorite dessert: frozen custard.

Wanted to crosspost this because I'm pretty happy with how it turned out for a shot with minimal setup and no tripod. Just using some lamps in my office and resting the camera on the desk, with a reversing ring on a 50mm prime to get a ghetto macro shot:

Bingecaps Mica-dusted Lion Keyng V3 by josh, on Flickr

It's been a while since I uploaded anything to flickr, too. Not sure the lighting is on par but the detail of the mica coating has been SUPER hard to capture, and the color came out basically spot on without any post needed. Just cleaned up a few dust spots from my lense which has been abused over the years. The background is stragely pleasing to me as well.

I think I'm just going to get the printer and print the pictures out. There are a few pieces of hardware such as the Bit Boy that allow you to transfer pictures off the camera onto your PC. It's kinda pricey though.

Edit: Apparently if you can get a GBC Flash Cart, there's websites that emulate the GameBoy Camera Printer. This website is really interesting and I'll probably try it.

I need to get a proper tripod instead of the cheap flimsy one I have, but I like how this turned out.  Shot with a remote and single key light low on the side and in front of the cap.  Shot at ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/1.3s and with my Nikon D70 kit 18-70mm lens at 70mm.  Surprised it turned out as well as it did given that I used a CFL as the light.

Nice shot as already mentioned. I also need to get a good tripod sometimes. Since years I am thinking of getting one! Mine is light and small, but very wobbly. The photography friends always laugh at me and my tripod!

This is handheld, at gorgeous daylight time:

Has everyone just ignored the fact that this is one of the most rare keysets in the entire keyboard universe?
That could be multiple thousands of dollars in caps alone. Serious here.
Never heard of dyesubbed olivetti!

The doubleshots are $1500 alone.
Imagine what the elusive dyesubs must be.

And to think... Originative had them for a buck fifty...

I keed keed

 :-*

We actually have some Olivetti dye-subbed by BSP themselves with original BSP caps.

crumping is like twerking but it's all about getting low with force.

I love that you kept your board in its original condition.

Likewise, that's a sick board, Hoff. Sometimes restoration or even personalization of the case is nice, but this is very classy.
