This is it, guys!! The grand finale! After ages of waiting and paying ludicrous aftermarket pricing, you will finally be able to purchase the legendary GMK 9009 again! Appart from offering the base kit, add-on kit and spacebar kit US and EU vendors will also be offering some custom sleeves and cables! Both of which will be handmade in Belgium! Below are links to the vendors! Note that we are also offering matching sleeves and cables, which won't be up for purchase anymore after the GB closes! These are available through US and EU vendors and are handmade in Belgium

Quick glance, there's no more color ESC pack, there's no beige color spacebar and the windowed caps now have narrower windows..  Not sure what's added/removed in base because I don't use those a lot and I'm also lazy..

LED window is just a difference in rendering. The classic coloured escapes are obviously still there, but the other ones indeed aren't. Did those even succeed with the original GB? I don't think I have ever seen them arround and I must say I don't find them to be especially good looking.

I really wanted to give a total count, but I haven't heard from the Chinese proxy or Singapore proxy yet  :/

Either way with numbers from hours ago and missing 2 proxies, we are still at 118 base kits, 74 Add-on kits and 82 spacebar kits. Pretty safe to say that in the meantime 30 new orders have come in combined with the total orders from China and Singapore, so you can safely say we have hit MOQ in less than 24hs  I'm pretty confident that 250 base kits will be met!

We tried to match them as much as we could. The issue is that things like paracord and fabric tend to be very vibrant and colourful, while 9009 colours are quite calm and toned down. I'm pretty pleased with the green used though, and am confident it will be a good match IRL

I don't really care, I'm just pointing out that there is some serious wishful thinking going on with that color scheme.

I came across a post on r/mk where someone had made a DIY cable, and had found some heatshrink that  matches the green and pink of 9009 quite well... I contacted him and he managed ti track down the brand of the heatshrink but I've been unable to find the actual colours anywhere to buy.. https://imgur.com/gallery/Zyvto

That's definitely the way to go about it - and the way I always handle it if it's on Massdrop - however, with this being an instant charge method by the websites involved, it makes it a bit more cumbersome to do adopt that tactic.

As such, it'd be great if Janglad and/or the rest of his partners posted regular updates regarding the status of the GB and the numbers associated with each kit. It's not AS big of a deal _right now_ as we're still at the start of the GB but later on, once sales start to slow down, it'd be very nice to keep people updated and on their toes so that further goals can be met.

If people see 400 then we'll for sure hit 500, etc etc.

People who get paid bi-monthly, is almost everyone getting paid the 15th or does it varies? If its universal 15th, it might be a good idea to extend GB a day or two for those on the edge.

Not sure if you already done it, but it can be a good idea to set end timer so it ends on midnight the day after. So if you want to have 15th as last, putting 00.00 on the 16th since people tend to purchase the last minute.

GB's are usually a month because of that stagger issue, might be worth to consider.

In Sweden (maybe other countries too) it is always on the 25th. So yeah definitely not universal.

I'll make a Reddit post and such with updated numbers soon. It's really hard to have real-time numbers with so many vendors in so many different time zones, however, these are the most up to date numbers I can give you

Base kits: 160

Add-on kits: 90

Spacebar kits: 106

As you can see the base and spacebar kit have already surpassed MOQ and the add-on kit is just 10 purchases away from it I don't have any numbers from China though (and the rest is from yesterday evening haha) so safe to say that every kit has had some more purchases made.

As a UK ISO user, I just have to compliment the kit design - the base kit is excellent.

And it is quite refreshing to have just two extra kits, rather than having to wade through reams of options.

We have interest for 70 international Kits at the moment so I will get a quote from GMK for that set and try to get it going asap. I am in contact with mykeyboard.eu to see if they are willing to run it along with 9009 on their site.
