I wouldn't say that it a bad keyboard, but it doesn't feel as good as a real Topre. The biggest difference I could notice is that the switches are a lot less tactile than real Topre

These have the Cherry MX style key cap mounts right?

I might jump on the 45g (wish they had a 55g)

Why is it that when people try to clone something, it's never as good? Can you think of something where that's not true? I don't really get it, as engineering should be as good as the people doing it, not determined by the order in which people do it.

Then again, if something's engineered to be excellent, and someone else copies it, they must make the copy substantially different to avoid lawsuits. Assuming the original had everything it needed to be the best it could be, any of the copier's legally necessary changes would be likely to detract from the item's quality rather than equal or improve on it. Okay, I think I've figured it out—thanks!

Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Just thought I'd leace this here: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/royal-kludge-rc930-87?mode=guest_open

 :)

Was too scared to post that here in someone else's section, involving another product BUT I'm in with the Royal Kludge being that it's the current one on MassDrop that has 55g actuation in the Thorpe Tech  :thumb: .

Damn fine TKL keyboard especially the basic one with no leds plus they supply an all POM key-set as well.

The drop did not "tip" and jd.com doesn't have the Royal Kludge boards at the moment. They are available on alibaba.com (search for "RC930"). I don't know how $135 shipped from China compares to jd.com's pricing.

Find a vendor on taobao and PM imsto.  He can help ship you one for a small fee.

Hmpf. I just got one through AliExpress.com for what is entirely too much in retrospect. ¥432 comes to like $70. Wow.

I'll PM imsto just to see what this entails.
