What do you do with 15min of Internet?
« on: Mon, 03 September 2012, 04:19:45 »
I'm stuck at CDG airport waiting for my new flight as Delta was so late my other flight left when we landed.
So I am got fifteen minutes of free Internet.
What I did was first send my wife an email updating her, checked my bank account to see if I could eat (hard times lol), and now I am posting here because I didn't :)).

What would you do with fifteen free minutes of Internet?

Thinking about things isn't the same as doing things. Otherwise everybody would be in jail.

I search for ways to circumvent the 15minute restriction at airports obviously.

I believe a new connection with a spoofed mac is enough to get another 15 minute. So Just make a script which changes the mac every 15 minutes.

sudo apt-get update   for starters.  And if CDG is Charles De Gaulle in Paris,  I would be looking for my gate.  I got lost in that airport,  and I speak french.  It is one of the least intuative airport designs I've ever come across.

Post here, then spend the 15 minutes waiting for a reply ... ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

demik!  Eeewww!

But then you'd have to spend a day disassembling and cleaning your keyboard.

Yeah, I was looking for a way to spoof my mac address, but for some reason I didn't get the right procedure down on win 7, so it wouldn't change even on reboot, so I was stuck reading World War Z for a while.
I managed to meet an old friend because of a Facebook status update too. The world really is a tiny place xD.

With that said, this is the second time I fly Delta, and both times there have been technical difficulties with the plane that caused either a delay or a cancellation. Last time I was waiting for my connection to Phila from JFK and they let us wait for about six-seven hours before they drove us out to the plane just to cancel the flight as we were looking at the plane on the runway. Priceless xD.

Next time I will be prepared with mac spoofing and hax.

Only 15 minutes.... well that would probably mean just staring at my home page till I got bored and got off the computer. I'm probably one of the most boring computer users I know.
