as is, it'll do about 75 or so per gallon (.8 tank so your estimate is pretty good). probably closer to 50-60 after modding i imagine.

its all about enjoying the ride :)

Tell me about it...you see what I have driven :)

As for fuel, due to changing vehicles, I'm thrilled that as of last month I'm now getting 16-18 instead of 10-14.

****, I think I know your mom AND dad.

I hung with a group called Fight For Freedom in LA back in the formative days. We spat with Suicidal Tendencies and a few other notables. Great times, but it was more of an experience than a lifestyle for me. I went to Cal and became an attorney. Like THAT lasted about the same amount of time...

any VW. You know the german's make good stuff. I found a late 80's Sirroco in a junkyard and the smell sent me home. Nothing smells like a VW.

My dad just picked up a Karmann Ghia from a junk yard, stoked to see it restored in a year or so.

Ghias are bad little rides. I saw one at a car show I was in (I had a '61 red convertible I bought off someone that had 91 original miles on it in the late 80's). Anyhow this Ghia was a burgundy metallic with something like 20 coats, excellent blinding chrome and these killer spyder stile rims, slick interior, uber-clean. One of the raddest rides I've ever seen to this day.
