Couldn't sleep last night. Will I Pass out or stay up to watch the big bang theory. Udon > Top Ramen

Don't do it to yourself, just go to sleep and save yourself from the torture.

Too late, I had to find out what ShAmy was up to in the show.

Watching Tenured on Netflix.  Pretty ****ty movie, but there are also a **** ton of gingers in it.  Two of age attractive gingers as the female leads (and one less than attractive ginger lead) make up for the ****ty writing.

Currently halfway through the second season of The Blacklist. Didn't think I'd like it; now I'm hooked.

Also, rewatching The Fellowship of the Ring on Blu-ray.

Just finished this mess.

130464-0

Actually...it wasn't that bad...

However, they're taking this whole supernatural/surreal stuff a little too far with every movie. The original series wasn't as abstract or surreal for the most part; not toward the end, at least, with the concluding film, did things get a little out of place. But even then it wasn't as saturated as the Rebuild films, especially this one.
Maybe I don't remember the previous one as well (it's been at least four years since I've seen it), but I don't recall as much change, although I know they wanted to start changing the story-line a bit toward the end.

And Mari should never have been introduced, and I still don't know if Kaworu was necessary, even in the original series. Then again, it's been at least four years since I've seen any Evangelion iteration...

It's pretty brutal. Every character in it is quite self serving, but I guess that's how big business works..? IDK.

It's good, although it's kind of like a regular TV show where story lines are started and finished in one episode. It's a bit strange, but it obviously has the regular long story lines throughout the series.

But it's pretty cool. I don't know what to compare it to in keyboard terms.

Well i'm only half way through book 1, "Leviathan Wakes", and i will say that the show and the books are very close in content. I'll be honest, i missed a lot in the show that the book is clarifying and filling in for me. They did a good job of creating unique lingo/slang and verbiage for the Belters and if you aren't familiar with it, you miss what they are talking about. The show apparently contained quite a bit of the UN politics from book 2 in order to make it more dramatic i guess? I'm not sure yet. The book is well written (I've heard James S.A. Corey is actually 2 authors that write for George RR. Martin i think?) and moves the plot quickly by telling the story from Holden's ship and Miller's search for Julie Mao. The story is about to cross paths in Eros so i expect it will change a bit. I don't want to give away any spoilers for people that are about to binge watch it that haven't already. Heck i might re-watch it after i finish this first book. One thing they seem to be starting with in the book is that they have this ship, it can transport things and run missions that require stealth/no transponder/guns and they can make money doing it - a lot like the plot to Firefly. Which i hope they work with as a story line and the politics as a backdrop. I'm not super interested in political stuff which is kinda why i don't want to read Game of Thrones.

TL;DR I liked the show, the 1st book so far is really well written. The show follows the book mostly. I'm hoping it makes watching the show easier to follow.

That would make for an interesting plot. Right on, I was planning on reading the books. I'm a little more excited now that I know the books explain some of the lingo.

I know right? Apparently MST3K spawned a few online shops that made replicas of the robots. Hell one shop was open for ten years! I cringe a lot through the episodes but MST3K helps me understand some of the things my older brother would to say to me in the early 90s :D

My parents wouldn't let me watch that when I was younger, probably for good reason.  Does it age well?

Same, although the show is written for adults.
I just watched the pilot and amazingly it holds up well! Laughed quite a bit.

My film major best friend loved this show.  I haven't seen it, but if he likes a show, chances are it's really solid.  :thumb:
