Hot Keys Project Therapy
« on: Sun, 28 December 2014, 11:44:03 »
With all the other therapy threads and seeing the growth of interest for Martin's caps i figured it'd be a good idea to make a therapy thread for Hot Keys Project as well so we don't keep cluttering up Martin's talk thread which i think should be kept clean with pics and such.

Does anyone else do that thing where you feel like you made a mistake on your form even though you double checked it?

Now I feel like I have filled something wrong in the form...

I received my invoice 21 minutes after placing the order, if that helps ease anyones mind. I'm really excited for these - I can't wait to light up some Warmaster eyes!

I ordered an X-Mas raven, so pumped, it's my first novelty keycap. Out of curiosity, what's the resale value of other ravens?

Such irony, that the person who started the Hot Keys Therapy thread has Raven as avatar :))
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. the original one back in July, first post here https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=59452.0

p.s. for ages ive been trying to figure this out...how do you enable notifications (email?) for replies to posts? Like for example, I would like to get a notification for the reply you posted to one of my quoted texts. I cannot find it in notifications.
I've had to manually check back to threads if i wanted to see if anyone quoted me.

Maybe this should be called empty wallet therapy, because that's the only reason you wouldn't get in on a HKP sale.

i'm going to be up to my 4th one

Bought my first artisan recently. It's the woodland Raven. At first, they were my least favorite HKP, but I think they are slowly becoming my favorite. I need more.

If the gosh darn USPS would do their job, I'd have a few more HKPs on my keyboard right now. Hopefully I get to lay my eyes on them tomorrow. There are several HKPs in transit or in my mailbox that I can't access because the USPS hasn't updated my mailbox key - so none of our keys work. I guess my woodland Raven will have to get me through another night.

Most of these artisan keycaps grow on you, after you received you first one.  The you see how much detail there is in something so small, and how nice the colours are in real life.  Then you start wanting another, and another, and you are hooked ;)

I think I've been hooked! I've heard the Clacks and Bros have some weight to them. I'm curious how they feel ;) but I absolutely adore my HKPs. I like that they aren't so difficult to get your hands on too (even though they are somewhat tough).

Now I feel like we need a drunken Warmaster or raven or something. :p

Looking forward to getting a red Warmaster. I've got 3 other HKB caps so far. I like that they're relatively easy to acquire, and love the designs.

This is not helping those who came here for therapy.
In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
