Switch films are just a replacement for stickers. There is no adhesive.

Whether it makes a difference in typing (it probably won't), it will stop the switch tops from moving around. If this bothers you, get stickers/switch films. If it doesn't, then you don't need to worry.

On Cherry switches they are said to reduce the wobble between the top and bottom case by reducing the gap (how effective that is should everyone decide on their own). Gateron based switches generally don't need this though.

Thank god I added 10 packs of poly films to my TX-CP order in July. Got them late August ... together with the whole keyboard kit!

The time this GB takes to fulfill is embarrassing. Zenna is alive though, got my WoB modifier sets not too long ago.

I highly recommend looking for other sources unless you want these switch films for your grand children.

This is beyond ridiculous. Dude has had the switch films for months and is just sitting on them. Myself like many others have builds that are waiting around for these to ship as it's the last piece we need. Come on man spend a few days getting these to the people who have paid for them. I find it impossible that you have any spare time to deal with this. I work 12+ hour days, 6 days a week and while I don't have much spare time I have enough time to deal with something like this.

Hell send all the stuff to me with info and I'll ship these out to people UPS and USPS is 10 mins away from my job.

The same thing happened in R1 of this sale, that's what made me bow out of R2. People got their stuff in the end, afaik, it just took ages.

Heh. I paid for enough to share, assuming these ever ship. Given that the first stated shipping date was May of last year, you may find building a factory to make your own a faster option.

I am starting to think this is a scam. Talked to the supplier of the films for the first round and Zenna didn't order/pay for the second round. He either found a new supplier or still has the money.

might be. might be that zen just lost interest or forgot. if you go back through the thread, you will see that he goes silent for a while. i got sketched out by some stuff he was trying to do with the BoW mods GB he was running concurrently with R1 of the films, but ultimately he fulfilled all the orders and was really apologetic.

this does seem like a long time to not post an update for such a simple group buy...

Just saying, I got worried when I heard he did not place a new order with the supplier of his Round1 switch films. He was sold out of clear films in Round1 at least so he must have gotten new ones for Round2.

He either made his own films or found a new supplier that I am unaware of. Either way it is time to show a picture of the films with a nice little time stamp. Takes 10 minutes to make and post and would calm us all down a little. Despite the fact that shipping of this GB is WAY overdue. Just saying, Zenna claimed he received the films MONTHS ago so the delay is clearly on his side at that point.

I was also part of his WoB GB and happy to receive all my good after an awful long wait ... and why fulfill a GMK GB when you plan to scam people on a small switch film GB?

It doesn't make sense to me. I will PM him for a refund, I just want to get out of this.

I'm just saying I can't shake this feeling any more. Would really like to see a pic.

Just realized I have THREE more weeks of PayPal Buyer protection. Set a reminder for next week. No pic or no refund and I will dispute.

The only thing I was told is that he didn't order additional films for Round2 from his Round1 supplier

He might have leftovers from Round1 - but he turned my request for clear film leftovers of round 1 down and told me to wait for round 2 or take milky films.

He might have a new supplier or get them straight from the factory.

I am loosing PayPal buyer protection in three weeks ... I have to see proof that the films are there.
