That's normal for GMK sets, unfortunately.  That's how their current molds are.  My GMK Cyan set is exactly the same with the thick M, thin N, I being far left, etc.  I.e. it doesn't seem to vary set-to-set.

 :(

It's such a minor issue.  Don't worry about it.  Hydro is a beauty!

It is definitely a great looking set. ive just always been bothered by minor things. i cant even use my JTK sophomore set because of the legend inconsistencies.. and ive been waiting for tat to be my endgame keyset for a 60% pink/black/purple build :\

are there any particular sets that have perfect legend placement/consistencies? i figure og cherr dyesubs might be it. but ofc there is no kits for different layouts :\

Are there GMK dyesubs? That would probably be the best...

nope. GMK AFAIK solely does double shots. their doubleshots though feel suppppeerrr nice. this is my first set and i love the typing feel on them a LOT

Hi jchan, this is just a feedback. For orders that ship to taobao, I am not sure if there are alternatives but the current one is not working out so well for me. Currently, the shipment is stuck at Hong Kong trying to clear customs, and apparently it has been there for i believe at least 6-7weeks? I noticed that this particular seller has orders that get held up at Hong Kong customs for a crazy long period of time (some other GB was held there for 3months and still ongoing?). Just wanted to know if there were any other options to ship orders to Singapore as I believe it wouldnt cost a lot more than the current shipment to taobao then to the other respective asian countries.

I'll inquire about that, but you should call customs and see what is up with that. Maybe they wrote it as something else ?

Thanks for the advice. I'll see if I can get the seller to contact the customs as I might not have the relevant details like shipment number and stuff.

Hi, I heard back. Looks like it'll take a while to clear customs in general, but it should get to you soon. I'm not 100% sure what is going on, but the taobao shipper did reship it all already.

ALSO:

We'll be having a "last of Hydro" sale tomorrow. This will have the last of the hydro stock we have for sale, which includes base, novelties, and spacebars.

We'll also have GMK Screw in stabs in stock for immediate shipment as well.

This will go live at midnight, PST.

The sets went live last night.
Managed to snag the Novelties, which is the only kit I needed.

Thanks for running this beautiful set, jchan94. Looking forward to Muted when that hits boards.

lol I remember having to stay up for PST timed-events in the past. Was a pain because they're the last time zone to go to bed.  :))

I have the advantage of being up late most nights LOL :)  But you didn't have to wait for them if you weren't in the GB- I bought mine in Jan for the same price.  Thinking about the space bars, though...

They'll go live sometime today as I forgot my ifixit toolkit at home to test it all out.

Thanks. Is there any difference dimensionally between these and regular genuine cherry? Width of any part, how far the bar pokes out, etc. Other than just having the screw holes which might make it a tad larger in that area.

That's probably for the best haha, artisans are a real wallet vampire. Yeh I think a lot of them are quite gaudy and over the top, I'm really not into the the whole skull/grim reaper thing either. I do like some of the more plain designs though. Maybe some nice blanks or something =]

I just received my set of Hydro novelties, SIP sockets, and Hydro stickers. I have a problem with my order.

I placed the order on Friday morning, and received a shipping confirmation later that afternoon. There has been no updates to my tracking, and still now there's nothing. Shipment from California to Chicago should not have taken this quickly considering I used first-class shipping, and I need to open a dispute because delivery was way too fast.

Still in the middle of a move, and trying to patch things up still. I have the emails starred on a "to-do" list, but I can't finish them up until I can finish my move and such. You'd be surprised how much stuff I have to move :(. (well, I also have to help my sister and stuff). Lots of magical treasures being found, aka trash (or hoarders treasure).

Thanks for the reply  :thumb:

No worries, I can wait - I just wanted to make sure my cable wasn't lost in the mail   ;)

Has there been any word about key cap replacements?

We'll have a form up in about a week or so to get these processed.

Hey jchan,

Did this already happen and I missed it?

Hey jchan,

Originally, I planned to make an excel, but with the new site, I figured it's time for a better user experience, and something that's way better.

We're in the middle of the development for a keycap replacement webapp that will help us replace everything very easily.

This will be a way better experience, and help us with all keyset replacements we need to make.

Fair enough, I just was looking at the taobao link and it pretends there was inventory so I was curious.

Probably for the best. I already ordered 4 new gmk sets this week >_<
