So yeah.. I live in tmux and urxvt nowadays. Would it be possible / feasible to browse and reply to GH just from within vim / emacs?
I mean... emacs has support to render pictures, so nothing missing there. There rest is mostly text anyways. And bold / italic text can be done with termcodes anyways.
I see it in front of me like an IRC client. One view with all the boards and categories, one view with a thread, and a separate buffer to reply to thread or post. Stats can be implemented later.
It would be great if GH had a REST API... I would already be making a client if it had one.
I could first try to mess around using Python and ncurses. Just try to list boards, and render it according to html formatting.
Imagine this... i3 with terminus console font and i3-gaps. And then... beautiful in GH orange BAM GH client. As a matter of fact... you could even do push notifications, make a ghclient server on localhost that clients connect to (like emacs) and connect to client from terminal, vim, emacs, whatever you like.
I ALWAYS have GH open..
