The procedure has never been explained. I always assumed it was an automated script and that it was updated on the site immediately.
parts are automated, parts arent, realistically i have to make part of the process manual to make sure there are no errors, make sure all the numbers are correct etc
we cant have an email go out to someone, and not have a cap for them, as disappointing as not getting in is, being told you are in and then not would be far worse
so i make the last line totally manual, so every single ticket gets double checked, before the email is sent
