The nameplates will be cut by the machine and then anodized. For aluminum versions, the embossed texts will be polished. Brass versions won't be polished.
The legends can't be too complex that the machine can't handle. Please refer to the samples and get an idea what legends can be made.
Great now I need the brass version...any idea on weight difference between aluminum and brass? Any shipping estimates to the states or EU?

Probably has something to do with installing a build environment, cloning repositories, compiling and building software and a whole dedicated process and learning curve just to change a couple keys around. Seems a bit like overkill just for a simple task where I can push a gui button.
I get it, I'm a programmer. It sounds like fun and learning something new is always cool and fun to play with, but this just sounds daunting to me after 10 or so hours of doing it all day long..

That option in the form was not accurate. We'll provide templates in both ai and dxi formats. You can fill in the template with anything you like, including the heart beat figure. I'll ask and guide everyone to make the nameplate design when GB closes.

It’s a per project quote, it’s not like 3-4 months is the standard quote for everything. GB runners ask for timeline quote per groupbuy. Should EVE estimate the quote accordingly every time with consideration to his on-going projects?

While I did not participate in the Evil 80 GB, I did participate in the Equal Mountain GB, it appears EVE prides himself/themselves on the work done, I don't think I have seen any poorly manufactured boards posted that have come from EVE. For me it's worth the wait, even if the timeline is skewed due to too many projects or similar, if the work is exceptional can you really complain?

EVE just informed me that most of the anodizing has been finished. Several blue cases need to be re-anodized as the colour is not as accurate as we wished. EVE confirmed they can ship all the aluminium and brass parts to us in the next week. Here (https://imgur.com/a/0eMkd6N) are some photos of the finished cases.Awesome thanks for the update

- EVE promised to ship kits to us "in the next week" on June 18. We haven't received any kits from them until now. After several times of communication, they finally agree to ship a part of kits to us by today.

Six emails over the course of two months with zero responses isn't exactly reassuring.
My Evil 80 arrived today! I just finished unboxing and inspecting it. Initial impressions; finish is not 100% perfect, there are some very minor imperfections, but I would say ano is 99% perfect. Machining is very precise, although the seem between the bottom and top housing is more pronounced than some customs I have handled. The tolerances and hardware fit tightly and it feels like a professionally designed kit, some great design work on the nubs for case alignment and the countersunk holes and screws are great. The aviation connector is high quality and looks to be well implemented. I will have better photos and more detailed info when I get a chance to sit down with the board at home.
One major issue, not everything I ordered was included in the package. I am missing one gold case screw, there were only 7 included in the little container. The package also only included one PCB, I ordered an extra PCB so that I could have two sets of internals (I also got a plastic plate) so I have emailed Remiel and am awaiting a response.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/ijny41U.jpg)

The tolerances and hardware fit tightly and it feels like a professionally designed kit, some great design work on the nubs for case alignment and the countersunk holes and screws are great. The aviation connector is high quality and looks to be well implemented. I will have better photos and more detailed info when I get a chance to sit down with the board at home.
One major issue, not everything I ordered was included in the package. I am missing one gold case screw, there were only 7 included in the little container. The package also only included one PCB, I ordered an extra PCB so that I could have two sets of internals (I also got a plastic plate) so I have emailed Remiel and am awaiting a response.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/ijny41U.jpg)
Well, I am at least glad that the boards are now reaching people, but it is very concerning that there are parts missing, especially with all of the delay times we have gone through. Hopefully that gets resolved quickly for you, and that this is not common for other entrants .

You're certainly welcome to your own opinion, I'm just trying to follow how you contacting someone who's supposed to package everything correctly, to ask them to package everything correctly for you is going to go anywhere when it's supposed to be packaged correctly from the beginning. But yes, you're welcome to handle it how you please.

Custom polycarb plate, stickered and lubed silent blacks with 62G springs, and zeal screw on stabs. I am having a custom cable made by someone else so I have not yet been able to test or program the board.Looks clean as F#$@ can't wait to get mine. Huan received more custom plates and will hopefully get the default plates today and then send out the rest of the boards. Do you know which program is used when programming the PCB?
A few more thoughts on the kit; the aviation connector is really cool, and mounting is well designed however the clearance on the cable and the PCB is a little tight. You have to put quite a bit of pressure on the cable and PCB to make it fit. The plates are pretty meh quality wise... I had already made a custom plate since plastic was not originally an option, but upon unboxing the brass and plastic plate ramiel included I was disappointed. The plastic plate has a ton of burs and the finish on the brass plate leaves a bit to be desired. I intend to do a bit of filing to clean up the brass plate before using it. I do not think I will use the plastic plate at all.

Didn't the guys opt for a QMK PCB? If so you can just bind a reset key which puts the board into dfu mode, the keycode for that is (surprise): RESET. Just put that somewhere you don't accidentally hit (uncommon key on the FN layer for example) and you never have to hit the physical reset button again.

I am having issues with terminating an existing usb cable of mine with the included connector. Keyboard usb keyboard device descriptor request failed when I plug it in, and the caps lock LED lights up.Mine was flashed already

Gb runner disappeared and Huan has stopped responding through email since October on my end. No keyboard no nothing.
Nearly 1 year since I paid for this and no response and no board. Is there a method to report Ramiel to mods for this? $600 just stolen at this point....
