m0ar covid-era thoughts.
If Tp4 runs dat gas, he also has to turn on the vent-hood.
The vent pumps <heat> from the <house>, which used even "m0ar gas" from the Furnace.
Using electric cook, "assuming not dep-fryzing", All the heat is released into the surrounding, and no loss from the vent.
Any gekha Hvac thoughts?

Vents suck out a considerable amount of heat. If they vent into an attic space you are losing less than if they vent into the great outdoors.
Tangentially - Many people love fireplaces but don't realize that the great majority of the heat is going straight out the chimney.

if you are talking only about energy that you can control you electric stove will be far more efficient at heating your house than anything else, it is as close as 100% efficiency as you can get, if you are talking cost, then it is unlikely that your stove will beat your gaz heater. and for electricity i have read that in the US a lot of it still comes from gaz anyway, so you likely get overall lower efficiency if it is the case.
