Need some advice on mouse options.

My misses needs a new mouse and I don't really know a lot about them as I use trackballs. She want 3 buttons (2 and a scroll wheel), adjustable dpi, no lights and wired.
Any ideas?

That seems to fit the bill perfectly, thanks.

SteelSeries Kinzu - 4 button (left, right, wheel, DPI switch).
Logitech G100... if you can find one on it's own, e.g. without the keyboard.  I've only seen this in a kit.
Razer Abyssus - has issues with some mouse pads/surfaces and lights.
Razer Salmosa - lights

would extra buttons be a deal breaker? that really limits it. doe the DPI switching have to be on the fly or would it work to use software on the computer to change it?

Software is no good, we use linux most of the time.

The kinzu seems good. I will look into reviews of that.

Koreans also like kimchee.  And ridiculously Kolored Keyboards.  Oh wait, that's the Neue Geekhack!  The McKEYmouse Effect.
I must not be in the "IN" group.  I haven't seen that type of craziness... at least not around me.

Razer Abyssus -- it's REALLY easy to disconnect the LED, and it's super cheap.

Kimchee IS very in right now.  Especially Korean Tacos with Kimchee.  Smells like wet baby diapers.
Did you know TacoCat is a palindrome?
I can't even respond to that...
