Any update?
Yes! I am still working on novelties, and in the background I am looking to fill out the vendor list. Once we have the right US vendor it’s my intention to run this set as soon as schedules line up properly.

In my opinion, this set is too busy and has too much gold and white. Those race cars are primarily green. I wo8ld recommend going all white on green, with gold accent keys. Done. Much cleaner, and much closer to British race cars. They don't have gold riddled through thum. They aren't 60% white. They're green, with white numbers (legends) and they have gold accents. Keep it simple and crisp.

I disagree, white on green would nudge the set into nuclear data https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=107254.0 territory which gives a different vibe.

With this set I wanted to focus on aesthetics over theming. While evoking the feel of cars in the BRG colourway is definitely a goal I had, I didn’t want to literally make the set the colours of a racecar.

I feel a lot of set designs take the inspiration/source material too literally and end up looking unbalanced as a result. This set has been designed to look great on a keyboard.

After much feedback both here, in messages and on our Discord the decision has been made to switch the brighter WS2 for the slightly warmer WS1. It was a close call, with a tonne of people fighting for WS2 but against the green, WS1 is just that bit more subtle. I hope people appreciate this change, and more feedback is always welcome.

Exactly! As mentioned before I am currently hard at work on novelties and other aspects of this set. I want to get it right. Have had a tonne of feedback on novelties. If you're reading this and there's a cap that you really think belongs in the kit, post in the Discord channel or in the IC form.

So happy to see UK ISO covered in the base, job well done.  What this kit now needs is a well thought out and high quality RAMA cap in gold to go with it.

I’ve been considering it! But the reason I held off in the IC was to reduce overlap with GMK Nuclear Data. I wouldn’t expect a dark alphas set, but never say never!

I would love to see green alphas, definitely a buy for me. while I understand not wanting the overlap with Nuclear Data, I think this is sufficiently different with the gold legends/accents

Yeah I've said it before, but I'll say it again... having a single color that is somewhat similar to another set's color does not a copycat make.
This set with green alphas and beige legends would be so far off from Nuclear Data in any configuration that it shouldn't be a problem. ESPECIALLY if you avoid using "Dixie" mods like Nuclear Data does.

Now there are other reasons why you might choose not to run an alt alphas kit, for example if you were shooting for a very high MOQ, but mimicry shouldn't be an issue.

Good news, I spoke to hiney and he doesn't see any issue with me running an all green alphas kit. So I'm now happy to announce that pending quotes and final kitting, an all green alphas kit with beige legends is now a very real possibility. I'll update renders soon with a show of this potential kit as well as the new novelties that are being worked on in the background.

Those of you wanting a green kit, check out the initial post for a render of my idea of a "Racing Green Kit", a dark alphas kit with coverage for F keys, numpad and more. It's quite expansive and could be pared down a little, so if you'd rather a slimmed down Racing Green Kit, let me know. I feel at this time, a second full green kit is off the table, but it's something I am willing to discuss with vendors.

There are also new renders for the base and exotic kit, which have been tuned a little. Now it's on a more neutral background.

It's understandable not wanting to do a full separate green kit. However there's also no green spacebars so split space users are left out if they want an all green set.
I'm seeing a 1u CODE key in renders but I can't seem to find it in the kits (not that I personally care). Was this just a mistake in the renders?
Also, not my thing but I figured I'd ask; are there no plans for Ortho support? Was there not much interest shown in the IC form?

A few general suggestions for the kit:
-minivan backspace (1.75u R2) in exotic kit
-mod 1.5u pipe and mod tilde in base kit
-separate spacebar kit with accent and/or green minibars so alice users who want green alphas don't have to use white bars
-extra B in base kit and extra B in green alphas kit

looking forward to this hitting GB!

Great feedback! I'll consider minivan backspace. As for mod pipe/tilde, will also have a think on this. Bars kit could be interesting, if this happens, expect a rejig of the exotic kit. I don't think second B is a good fit for base kit, given you'd need bars in addition. GB date for this set is locked in (unannounced), but there is still some time to make some revisions like this, so if anyone else has any major wants, feel free to leave a post or fill in the IC form.

I don't disagree with you on this except in the case that you have a separate spacebars kit. QC-ing spacebars separately from concave alpha keys is a lot easier and might translate to a slightly cheaper spacebars kit vs including the extra B in the spacebars kit.
However if you have spacebars and 40's all in one kit it won't make a difference.
Having minibars but not an extra B is useless. If anything, you could include both alice spacebars and extra B in base. But then you also run into the issue of what to do for the green kit.

I agree with you here. I want to make sure Alice users only need to buy one extra kit to get full compatibility. One of my goals with this set was an expansive base kit that makes UK ISO a first class citizen rather than the more minimal kitting you see (which also has it's perks). However, even trying to be inclusive with the base kit, I feel Alice support would be better off in it's own kit along with other special layouts. Thank you for the great feedback!
